Joli, I'm SOOOO happy to hear that you are finally able to take your little angel home!!! Now I'm just super jealous that I still have to wait 3 months before I can take mine home! :)

Tazzy OH NO! Can't believe your husband might need to go away for such a long time so soon after your baby's birth! Surely no company can reasonably expect that from any father?!

I really hope he is able to get someone else to go instead!!! Holding thumbs for you!

Do you have a mother or sister or friend close by who might be able to come stay with you for a few weeks in case he does have to go?

Lucy, maybe we can then set up a meet when you come this way again after Tessa is born, then the babas can meet each other too ;)

Kaylae, glad your lg is sleeping in her own room! That will help a lot once new baba is there.

Schatsie, glad your *little* angel is growing so well and that the dr is happy. Thank goodness you dont have to worry about having a big baby :) I also get the lower abdominal pain, I think its just the baby streching around in there where its a bit smaller :)

Tazzy, ag sorry that youve been having such a horrible time!! I really hope you can still find your parcel, maybe it will just turn up in a bit? aiii.. and I can feel your sadness about hubby having to go away for sooo long and you will be left with a newborn. Cant he maybe just leave a week or so later, until you have atleast healed and adjusted? We really depend on our hubbies a lot and Im sure you will miss him for help and moral support! Hope things work out, come cry on our shoulders anytime!! *hugs*

Joli, just read the good news on FB !! You must be sooo happy now :) Enjoy your little guy xxx

Hi ladies,

Joli - fantastic news!! How exciting taking your little prince home today!

Meags - I hope your kitties are settling in. And that you get that nursery done soon. With all the stress and moving you've done you'd better be prepared just in case.

Kimika - yay for the baby shower. I also had mine on sat. Got some lovely gifts and had a brilliant afternoon with family and friends.

Schatsie - I have had pains down there for many weeks now, and I've realised its more sore when baby moves. The only thing I could think it is, is maybe a foot kicking or pushing down into your cervix.

AFM - 4 weeks 2 days left ( if I can last that long)!! I am busy washing all babys clothes and my pjs today. Then by tonight everything is packed and ready!
I'm hoping for a better week, last week was awful. My parcel with all my nursery linen has gone missing. I've tried tracking it and they keep saying its left the usa on 13th but hasn't arrived in sa yet! It was sent airmail. I'm so mad!
And then to add to my terrible week, DH comes home with terrible news on fri night. There is a good possibility that he'll be leaving the week after my caeser for Namibia as he has been awarded a big contract up there for 6 months!
It all seems like a bad nightmare at the moment. I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to cope with a 2yr old and a newborn on my own after having had a csection!
I hope he can pass the work onto one of his collegues.
So ya, that was my week! I haven't stopped crying on and off since fri night. I am definately going to need some anti-depressants once baby A is born.

Good morning girls

Kimika, glad u had a nice shower! Can't wait for mine in 2 weeks!

Joli I'm so glad you're feeling better after the C sec and Callum is getting stronger and feeding normally!! Have they given you any indication of when u might be able to take him home? Thanks for the C sec tips!!

Emsmom, what is the name of the little place u went for brunch? It sounds divine and we're always looking for nice new places to try!

I started my day with my gynae appt. Was lovely to see our "little" angel again - not that he is that little at all! Dr said he should be about 1.1 kg now, but he is 1.34 already! He has quite a big head (takes after his daddy :) and Dr says it would have been unlikely that I could have given natural birth with such a large head) and is still about 2 weeks ahead i.t.o. his overall size. Dr is guessing he will be about 3.8kgs by birth.
But he says there is no reason to for concern, my amniotic fluid is enough and the glucose/diabetes tests all came back normal. The little man was sitting head up and legs crossed, too cute!
My next appt is in 3 weeks on 21 Feb, @ 30 weeks.

I had some lower abdominal pain over the weekend and thought it was probably a UTI and got Cranberry Citrosoda, but dr says it's not a UTI and didn't really know what else it could be.

I had a lovely weekend, Sat we celebrated my birthday with some friends with a pool and potjiekos day - it was the most divine weather and a perfect day! Yersterday we visited my parents, but I was feeling rather irritated and uncomfortable - hot and bothered and with sore back and pelvis. Sometimes I wonder how I will be able to work 2 more months feeling like this!

Hope you all have a lovely day - it's going to be another scorcher in CT, so thank goodness for office aircon!

Kimika - I don't think I'll be up in Jozi again before Tessa comes ..... getting a bit far along to fly now and far too uncomfortable to drive! I should imagine we'll visit inlaws around september or there abouts. No plans yet. I agree it is fun meeting Moomie friends, I have only met some of the D&C thread durban ladies. But it is so nice putting faces to names.
I also didn't find that EA washing liquid ...... but I found some eco friendly baby washing liquid at woolies, so I am giving that a bash. I'll let you know how it goes.
Hope you sleep better tonight.

Kaylae = Glad you are doing better. Take care and congrats on your big girl sleeping in her own room.

Afm - I ended up getting so hot yesterday that DH and I went to the beach for a dip to cool off. It was so nice, I really felt so much cooler and it seemed to lighten the weight of my tummy. I really should do it more often. Looks like we are in for a stinky hot week. Oh and Emsmom it made my swollen ankles go down a lot! :)
Got antenatal tonight again and I am really looking forward to it :P
