Hi Meags. See what they can do for you at the airport. I found KLM (them and Airfrance the same company) very very very incompetent and not very helpful when arranging the flights and all that goes with it. But when checking in you can ask for a better seat and then they actually are very helpful. Onflight they are also good, but I had such terrible experiences beforehand that I will never ever make use of them again.

Shame Meags... so sorry that Matthieu didn't co-operate like you wanted him to. But don't worry, before you know it you'll be staring at his beautiful little face with no barriers in between!
Good luck with your journey... it's going to be a long and lonely one I guess, but it will be worth it. Just take care of yourself and ask for help with suitcases etc if you feel like you need it! Don't try and do everything yourself, hopefully the people around you will take pitty on a highly pregnant woman on her own!

I have not had the best start to the day
Matthieu is such a stubborn little thing!
It's the first and last scan than that my dad, step mom, step sister and brother could see and Matthieu had his back towards us, legs towards the back and face towards the back. I did not get ONE picture!!!!! Couldnt even get accurate measurements as his legs were all curled up and to the back.
I'm really disappointed they hardly saw anything...but anyway. He's weighing between 1.6kg and 1.7kg

I also tried to book a decent seat so I can walk around and no one at Airfrance is helping me!!!! So I'm quite frustrated.

Betty F I know it's R400 per kilo overweight but I really dont care anymore. I have had such stress the last 2 weeks that I really cant let R1500 cause me even more stress at this point.

Ok everyone - I will send you a quick hello once I get to Miami (probably Saturday for you guys)
My journey is as follows:
10h35 minutes to Paris.
6 hour wait before the next flight. During this time I must collect my luggage and get a bus to another airport and check in again.
Then 10h30 minutes flight to Miami.
Total 27 hours. I am really dreading it but cant wait to see my hubby and just be there finally!!!!!

Meags - first and foremost, thinking of you today and your travels, please be safe and I hope the flight does not take everything out of you. You are a wonderful lady and it was lovely to meet you I look forward to hearing from you on here... I am so sorry about your kitties, but you will hold them again in Miami very soon. take care hun - Miami is gaining a very lovely person.

Lucy - you sound like me and getting the nursery ready (although I am 4 weeks behind you). take it easy p.s. I got a nice surprise that Mark bought me a mexican bola - hope it arrives soon. we have been lucky in jhb with the weather but think its coming to an end and the sun will be here and it coincides with when you are here!

Mistymom - gosh I forget things so quick, it probably was 750mls hee hee.

Kimika - thanks so much. he is a big part of my world, how are you coping after your doggie? and how are your boys? at least you will have 3 bags! and if one breaks its not the end of the world.

Schatsie - my gynae said if I go into labour early before scheduled c-sec, I will be rushed to theatre so I think it may be the same in your case?

Karin - you are so organised! ha ha ha on kiana and the cup - that is too cute, I had the same with a hairdryer this morning.
