KarinM my dr refuses to schedule it any earlier than 8 days before my due date and I'm very worried that it will not be early enough, so I would agree with you that only 4 days early is also taking a chance. I guess all we can do is just hope that everything works out as planned! :)

Hehe I am having the STRANGEST craving the last few days: I want guava juice, but I'm allergic to it, so haven't had it in probably more than 10 yrs! So I got myself some now and had to use my asthma pump to prevent myself from having an asthma attack! Strange indeed! LOL

Hello Ladies!

Meags hon, have a safe flight and hope we chat soon! I'm sure you cannot wait to see your DH.

Lucy hope the swelling has gone down a bit today, I totally feel your pain, been heating up in CT again.

Betty - how was your LO going to school this morning? Hopefully no tears. We have decided if we have a girl then her name will be Kate Elizabeth Walsh and a boy will be Samuel Matthew Walsh.

Kimika, good thing you chatted to your MIL and SIL!

Misty enjoy the gym! Tonight I'm eating at my folks before Hypno class - my mom "cooking" so will most likely be woolies take out :)

karin I saw perfect PJ's at woolies - light fabric and button up from top to bottom, so pefect for feeding.

Schatsie, dont stress about "being clueless" when I had Em I didn't know anyone else that had a baby, so I just did what my gut told me, and she turned out alright ;)
Also even if you go into labour, they will still do a c-section. I had a booked c-section and went into labour 3 weeks early, I got to the hospital, was 4cm dialiated and I still had a c-section, so dont worry about that.
Why not come to the meet on the 23rd at Kirstenbosch?
But would also be nice if just our March CT mommies met up for coffee or something.

AFM its lovely having Em back at school and getting back into a nice routine. I always seem to have more time on my hands when she's at school. And thankfully she is loving it!
Baby is still moving lots and responds to "play time" Em has started singing "twinkle twinkle" to baby every night, its too cute.

Hehe Schatsie - shame man, don't stress too much on having to give normal birth without wanting to. First baby's usually takes a bit longer to arrive once the whole process has started, so I'm reasonably sure that you will have lots of time to get to hospital for a c-section before it's too late. And if you are home, gosh, 3 minutes from hospital! What a bargain. :)

My fear again is that this being my third baby, she might decide to come earlier than my c-section date which is only 4 days before my due date! Still thinking my dr. is pushing it a bit... worried that she'll be in a hurry because she's nr. 3 and it will have to be a rushed or emergency c-section. But hey, all will be well in the end I'm sure... I think we are all just human worrying a bit and thinking about what could go wrong.

Oh, I forgot to say, my new biggest fear is that I will go into labour before my C sec date and have to deliver naturally! I SO don't want to deliver naturally - I've said even before I was pregnant that I want a C sec. In fact, one of the reasons why I picked my current medical aid is because they will pay for an elective C sec.

I've had so many dramas with my pregnancy that this will probably happen to me too. Joli's experience of wanting to go natural and ending up having to have a C sec was such a wake up call for me that these things seldom go as planned!

Luckily my dr lives close to the hospital and my hubby has done a trial run :) and it takes him less than 3 min to get to the hosptial, so hopefully I will still be able to have a C sec even if I do go into labour.

Meags, good luck with the flight. Baby inside your tummy is much easier than on the outside on a flight :P , so enjoy at least that bit of comfort. Will be hearing from you on Moomie.

Tazzy - I was very careful to drink lots, didn't eat much though ..... just no space! My tummy is usually like that almost over my ribs and now you can suddenly see my ribs again! Thanks for putting my mind at ease. It did give DH a fright and a bit of a wake up call that this could happen anyday .............. he still needs to finish the cot, crib, compactum AND cupboard. Funny how the preggy ladies tasks are all done ............. grrrrr men! I will be in Pmb this morning thank goodness for the break in the heat today. Oh and my feet used to just get hot, hope yours stay just doing that and don't progress to the swelling.

Betty - We have chosen Tessa Amelie

Kimika - Sorry you so busy! Hope you made the bank, jammies or not! Hee hee

Meags - I wish you the safest of travels and really hope that it goes quickly. I am sorry I don't live in Jozi as I would have gladly kept an eye on the kennels and your kitties during the quarantine to put your mind a little at ease. Will the lady not mms photo's occasionally for you? I am NOT saying goodbye, cos you are still going to be our virtual friend but I wish you the very very best with this new adventure. It will be filled with many new experiences and a very happy time with the special arrival of your LB. Good luck friend........ Bon Voyage!

Misty - I have such a jam packed work week that I have been leaving home early and getting home late and something on every night too, so the ankles in the air is not happening. Next week looks set to be as bad as I'll be in joburg! But any opportunity I get I do!
Enjoy gym. MMMmmmm that chicken sounds awesome. Still not sure what I'm having .... possibly home made quiche. I have Mom and Dad coming for dinner as my Mommy leaves tomorrow for the UK for 3 months (sniff sniff!!)

Anje - Looking forward to the pic. My LO has been moving like mad lately! Take it easy :)

Meags, good luck with your long journey starting today! Pls let us know how it went when you get there or when you have a stopover.

Mistymom that EA soap sounds gr8, so I'm definitely getting some too. Must check my washing machine if it has a baby cycle, but I think it just has a gentle wash one which I'll use. You should definitely get a tumble dryer - our babies are going to be born in winter, so we will definitely need it, unless you have tons of clothes.

DH and I went for sushi with some friends last night and had a lovely time. Then as we were leaving Canal Walk we popped into Ackermanns and had a look at baby boys clothes. We saw really cute things, like little dungarees and tops and little shirts with buttons and discussed how we are going to dress baby. It was lotsa fun!

I also think little Arno has moved because lately I feel him moving a lot in the middle of my tummy - no longer just kicking on my left hand side.

Hope you all have a lovely day!

CT girls, are we not going to have another meet before our babies are due? Would love to meet you all! Who normally organises the meets?
