Tazzy - Love the bump pic!! You are not huge!! I would say I am not far behind you and I am a few weeks behind you!! You are also all belly. Can see your hips are little.

Misty - Love the nursery pics. Teddies are too precious aren't they. You also have a lovely bump developing!! You have fab scan pics too. Always so gob smacked by scan :) Sorry about your friend,I am glad they are both OK though.

Anje - I start antenatal on the 17 Jan!! Actually looking forward to it. Like Schatsie I feel a little clueless about baby (well and a lot of other things!)

Welcome back to all the ladies who have been on holioday!

Emsmom - Your sister is beautiful! Does she model full time or is a hobby? How are your feet lately?

Kimika - Well done on the shopping, it sounds like you are getting very organised .... except for the elusive nappy bag, grrrr! Good luck, I am sure the right one will turn up.

Meags - Wow you got gorgeous stuff!! Who said there wasn't cute stuff for boys?!! Glad you had a good time.

Scan ladies - Seems there are a few today and tomorrow!!! Enjoy and please come share your precious moments with us.

Afm - I got those pains again the next night and not again. I think it may be colic. I used to get it in high school (and as a baby) It makes sense as my tummy goes very rigid but different from BH and it hurts like a cramp in a big c shape. I often have bad heartburn a few hours before, so I will try and manage until gynae appointment. The worst is that it takes away about 4 hours or more of sleep. So I am exhausted. I really can not get comfy to sleep. I know my back problems make things worse but ai what I would do for 1 good nights sleep!! Does anyone have any tricks on how to sleep comfy? ..... please !!!!

Well it was my babyshower on saturday!! Tessa was sooooo spoilt. So many friends I haven't seen in a while were there and I just wish I could have seen more of them. I got very little doubles and even the lotions and potions were well balanced. Like Meags what I got loads of was shoes!!
My sister went to town!! Tessa got a Hamley's bear with her voice recording, pawsport and birth certificate. More french couture, a gorgeous pink throne potty, baby books etc etc!

How important are those sleep wedges? Do you get one of the cheap EZ breathe ones or an expensive clevamama? Help?!!

Oh Kimika - I heard the "cherished belly" is the best tummy band!

Cath - LOL!! You'll need to get maternity pads. I bought mine from baby city. The hospitals normally provide but I like to have extras. They are huge! Like surfboards! Normal pads just won't work for the first few days.

Hi Ladies
Quick question - what kind of pads do you need for hospital? Is it normal pads you would use for periods or is it something different? I only JUST found out that you bleed afterwards!!!! I think a lot of surprises await!!!
Have a gorgeous day everyone!!!

Tazzy, I love your baby bump !!!

Meags, holding thumbs you get a buyer for your house soon. Glad you enjoyed your babyshower and sounds like you finally found a new place.

Kimika, glad the shopping went well, sounds like you are now more prepared. I don’t think I am going to get those belly things for afterwards.

Em, I am so glad you had a weekend full of rest and that hubby spoiled you so much.

Mistymom, I love your nursery and scan pics !! It is beautiful !! Ouch, sorry about your friend, but luckily she and baby is ok.

Jessica, Yay for the mini babyshower and enjoy your day of on your b-day !!

Kaylae, same here, not feeling like work, and I have to go out to a client today. Glad all is well with you and baby !!

Schatsie, good for you on reading up, I have done exactly the same, I will def have to catch up on some reading.

AFM: All is well with me, had a really busy weekend and it feels like I had no rest at all, plus I suddenly have piles, well one pile and it is so sore and uncomfortable, but I am def not constipated, so no idea where it came from. Already spoke to my dr and she suggested a cream. But I am not complaining, Lianey is moving a lot this morning so I know all is well with her. I think I will just take a hot bath tonight and go to bed early. If all goes well, we will be painting the baby room this coming weekend.

Ladies, I hope you have a wonderful day !!

Morning ladies

Welcome back to everyone who is back at work today and good luck for settling back into things.

I'm still very unorganised for this baby! I was watching Friends where Rachel is pregnant and she said that she was so focused on her pregnancy and the birth and that she never read up on when the baby is actually there and my friend told me the same thing on Friday, so I realised I am doing the exact same thing. I'm feeling so overwhelmed by the pregnancy that I have not done any reading on babies! So this morning I ordered the "What to expect" book for the baby's first year from loot.co.za. They are really very cheap - only R135 and if your order is > R220 you get free delivery, so I ordered another book from my wish list too.

I also haven't started the nursery since we are waiting for our friends to give us their cot and compactum. Hopefully it comes soon so we can start doing the nursery. The only thing I've done so far is to start doing a cross stictch marker cloth for baby's birth for his room door. It's going to have his name, birth date, weight and length along with many cute pics. I will post a photo once I'm done. I'm loving doing it since it makes me feel like I'm actually doing something for him so it makes everything more real, plus it forces me to relax a lot.

Still no news on when my sisters are planning my baby shower. I wanted to have it on the 29th, but then they said I'm making it difficult for them to surprise me, so I said they can pick a date. Thing is, neither of them have any experience with pregnancy/babies, so I'm worried that they're going to leave it too late and I would hate to only go shopping for stuff myself very close to the end. I'm going on ML at the end of March, but by then I just want to relax at home, not waddle around in huge baby stores!

Hope you all have a lovely day!
