Wow cant believe the holidays are over with and hubby is going back to work tomorrow! Shame, our boy will miss him so much!

Tazzy, hey congrats on winning some storage bags in the competition... lucky girl! :P

Meags, glad you enjoyed the shower and got some nice gifts. The house sounds great!! Maybe the room without a door is meant to be something like a study? Thanks for reminding me of the birthing/laboring outfit... last time I wore one of those hospital thingies with just my pantie on. I did pack some stuff but with the induction and then epidural it really was just the easiest thing to wear. But this time round I want to be a bit more mobile!! And Im quite shy so would prefer not to have to keep my *gown* closed at the back the whole time!

Mistymom, all I can say is WOW!! The nursery is looking sooo amazing and your baba is going to love his/her room so much :) You guys did a great job! And the scan piccies you posted is so cute and clear! Also loving the finger :)

Well about the pj's.. most lists say button tops but they are quite hard to find. Also I dont really like to unbutton my whole shirt and reveal everything :) So I prefer to buy pj's with a top thats like a t-shirt and then I just lift the one side.. downer is that you then have to pinch the top while baba is feeding, or take out your whole arm.. but I did it with my son so I got the groove of it. I think it will prob be easier with a special feeding top or the buttons.. I guess.. :) Also Ive found that the hospitals are really nice and comfy so really warm winter pjs are too hot. My son was born end March and it was still very warm. The pj's I bought now have a 3/4leg.

Emsmom, wow your sister is beautiful!!! Its great that she will be visiting in the time that your baba is born. Are you done with your course now? Ive had some time over the weekend to read my book but havent gotten to the relaxation part.

hi ladies!!

MistyMom I started crying when I saw your nursery photos!!! I am SO excited to get mine going!!!! It is looking gorgeous. And I love the photo of baby giving you the finger...hehe

The best PJ's for hospital (in my opinion) are ones you wont want to wear again! (ok well specifically your birthing outfit, not so much PJ's)
The birthing outfit is likely to get bloody and wet from the amniotic fluid. So I'd suggest labouring in either a long old nightie or tracksuit pants and a top. Wear a sports bra underneath as you'll probably remove everything for the actual birth and at least wearing a bra you wont feel totally naked.
Then for hospital stay PJ's I'd say just normal PJ's like pants and a top. Perhaps a breastfeeding top?
don't forget good supportive panties/disposable panties for those first few days of heavy bleeding.

EmsMom I am feeling ok. still coughing a lot but seeing gynae tomorrow.

So for my baby shower I didnt get THAT much as I did limit people to what they could buy me.
But got quite a few cute outfits, teddy bears, lots of shoes!!! gorgeous socks, toys, breastfeeding shawl, a baby book to keep memories in (and it is the nicest one I've ever seen!!)
I will take photos of my gifts and post them. and will post babyshower photos once my friends emails them to me.

So excited for my scan tomorrow. been almost 6 weeks since the last one!!!! I am going with one of my very good friends and a family friend (she's 19 and is dying to see a scan!) appointment is at 13:15 so will post pictures later on that afternoon.

DH has been looking for a car to buy me. And he saw the house the company wants us to take over from his colleague. Apparently it's great. 3 bedrooms 3 and a half bathrooms. 3 stories. ground level is kitchen, lounge, dining room, laundry room and half bathroom. 1st floor is all the bedrooms. apparently the 3rd room has no door?! I really dont understand the layout of the place but DH says it's nice. then there's a staircase going to the 2nd level which is a terrace.
so hopefully I'll get to see pictures of it soon
