Thanks for the recipe.. think Ill try it this year

Misty, Christmas is my fav time of year, I love the feeling in the air and the happiness, and so love buying pressies!!

My Egg Nog Recipe is:

6 eggs
2 + 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
2 cups whole milk
1 cup caster sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
(Most call for nutmeg but I dont like the taste, and I never put brandy or rum in cause again dont like the taste)
beat the eggs together hard until they're very frothy. Add sugar and continue beating.
Sprinkle in cinamon and vanilla.Continue beating.
A little at a time, add in the whipping cream, continuing to beat.
Again, only a little at a time, beat in the milk.
Give your arms a break from all that beating by putting the eggnog in the fridge to chill for 1 or 2 hours.
Serve cold.

It really is so yummy! If you are worried about salmonellaa with the raw eggs, just wash them before hand as the germ actually lives on the shell and not in the egg itself.

Mistymom, grrr I have the same problem with hubby!! He is sooo fussy when it comes to clothes/gifts etc! REally hard to buy prezzies for.. so he saw a rugby book the other night he wants.. but seriously I cant just buy him that!? So all I can say is goodluck and if you see something nice let me know

Ok so my day didnt go as succesfully as I woulve liked.. but hubby is now on leave so really Im happy The dr wasnt able to put my photies on a cd.. she was fully booked with scans and no spare time up to 1 today and I couldnt wait around. They are closed on Friday and Monday is their last day open for this year and we will be away then.. so Im going to have to wait until new year

Also the bed booking of course I left so late I had to do the pre-admission with the Labor/Maternity ward too, was supposed to do it between 22 - 24wks so now they cant do the 4d as they need to do it before 29wks (today).. so Ive missed out on the freeby 4d.. but hubby said not to worry as theirs sucked last time round anyway.

Shoo.. we have such a busy time coming up and still have a bit of shopping to do! Tomorrow we have a girls-day and going to see Nutcracker ballet Ive been wanting to go to a ballet all my life and at last my sister insisted we book one! Friday the whole family is going to some Birdpark I think its Maryvale or something like it.. anyone know it??
Sunday we are having a birthday party - for me And Monday is my 30th and Ive decided that I want to spend the day at Goldreefcity with my hubby and little angel boy and sis with her family. Ive been wanting to take my son there for a while now and want to do it before new baby is there.. so bugger I cant ride some rollercoasters but we will have a great day anyway Turning 30yrs, 30wks pregnant and spending it in a theme park.. hey maybe thats a good sign? LOL

I've been following your story and i have to say - I am sooooo happy all is well with your baby! Ive been in a similar situation when i was 13 weeks - i had to do a CVS (very similar to an amnio)
My results also came back clear and all is well with baby, well thats what we pray for everytime we have to visit the doc.
I'm currently 21 weeks and so far baby and i are doing ok.

Please try not to stress from now - my doc. said that after these tests are back - the stress should be much much less.

Enjoy the rest of the pregnancy.
