Hi girls. Hope you all well. Went for my cheap scan. They don't do the anomilly scan there but i saw baby at least. She is 438g and 14.4cm.
Started to bleed quite bad today so i went to groote schuur again as it is way more blood than i have had in the past. Turns out i have very bad thrush. Im still bleeding but have medication and if i start to clot i have to go back and they will keep me over night. They wanted to keep me over night and i asked them not to. So im back home. They also booked my anomilly scan for monday at 7am so after all that i am getting my scan and i was meant to go to hanover park for it on monday but there was no ways i was going there, so luck is on my side. Three scans in 4 days.
I have decided ill get my midwife care from mowbray midwifery and pay for the visits and then have my home birth as planned because i can't keep going on with no check ups etc. Was also told its getting very late to book in at government if i want to go that route. So we see what happens. Ill go for the scan on monday and then organise the midwife story. Hugs to you all.

Kimika so glad the scan went well! I dont think Dr can tell this early what weight the baby would be at birth, they gain so much near the end.

AFM, I loved the movie last night! Finally they got it right. I normally end up so upset that they dont do the book justice, but they actually stick almost 100% to the book, and made sure all the important things where in there!! Can't wait for the second part now.
My swelling has gone down a little, but I think I just need to accept my feet will be fat till I give birth, suppose its a small price to pay though
Today I was craving oat cookies, so my darling DH has baked up a batch for me. Just waiting on them to cool now
Today has been a lovely lazy day! I haven't even showered yet! DH took madam out this am, so while they were gone I cleared out the cuboards and now the cabnit for the baby is sorted! I put the clothing into ages groups and just want to get little compartments for the toiletries etc. But I'm feeling a little more prepared now

No I didnt see its moved.. Ill go check on there now. I dont mind, Ill drive to wherever as long as I got my roadmap book with me

I checked on babycentre's fetal growth chart and it seems asif my baby is a bit ahead on theirs. But gynae said he will be smaller than my son?? So really the weights are a bit confusing!!?? I actually know not to go by measurements and weight too much, they can be really innaccurate. But also I feel that between 1 and 1.5kg is safer if something is to happen.

Oh and I aked her about those heart palpatations. She said they can be normal but if you get them regularly and if you feel ill or offish when you get them then you def need to go in and be admitted for observation.. she did mention the name of the condition but I cant remember. And it has to do with low bloodpressure.. so seems asif low bp is not good either! But I havent had them for about a week so Im not worried about it.

I have to admit, I just cant wait for baby to be 1kg. under that they don't do so well if you do go into labour early for any reason so that is a milestone for me! Each time we go I have an idea what I'd like him to be weighing and he is always less than I hope him to be. so I hope by my next appointment he has grown WELL.

Anje, happy to hear your medical aid is sorted out! Shoo And I just have to say that I also loooove those shooshoos!!!! They were they only shoes I ever put on for my son before he walked just because they are sooo soft and comfy. All his other shoes just was a waste of money!

Mistymom, I also hate those maternity/breastfeeding bras Even the carriwell ones comes up so high that I cant wear any of my normal tops! But I saw ones that look lower than the ones I got with my son. Enjoy the braai tomorrow!

Scan went well.. I was in SUCH a rush to get there.. was almost late and almost had another flat.. so by the time I got there I was a little worked up. So gynae was concerned as my bp was 130 where its normally 110. But I knew it was just because I was worked up so she asked me to return in 1/2 hr to re-measure and it was back down to 110

Little guy doing well. Measuring about 730g already Cant believe he is almost 1kg!! But everything lookiing fantastic, lotsa fluid and space and placenta moved up well. So no worries. She says he wont be bigger than my son who was 3.2kg, might even be a bit smaller. Also we made all the appointments up to 39wks.. that kinda freaked me out to see how little weeks were left and Im in no way ready.. jikes!!!

hi ladies
nice to read all the news! Sorry about those ladies not feeling so well! Hope it passes. I've been on a business trip - the last one I hope til next year - so madly busy but have been trying to at least keep up with the news.

Had the most awful dreams last night -0 in the first one, we had put WIlliam in a shoebox (!) and 4 days later we couldn't find him! And I was conscious that we had not fed him! THen we found him in the pillow case! And he had not been fed! It was awful! What a nightmare!

But apart from that all good - health and energy still great. Also soooo excited both dh and I in the last few weeks our excitements has just exponentially increased!!! Start 3rd trimester on 2 Dec I hope that I remain feeling so good! Have really been loving being pregnant which started as soon as the ms stopped! NOt even scared for number 2 or 3!
