Ok, scan went really well! Baby messured in at 8w4days, so perfectly on time. Heart beating at 176bmp. Dr is fantastic, lovely and informative. He did even ask if I wanted to try natural or c-section again. He is very happy with everything, and I'll go back on the 4th October for the downs screening.

I'm so much happier and calmer now :)

Misktymom, I heard many people with cats complaining about other cats coming into their homes and eating the food, urinating and fighting with their cats. As long as he is friendly and not nasty to your babies.

Tazzy, how was your scan?? Dont keep us in suspense pleaazze :)

Emsmom, enjoy the scan tomorrow!!!! Wish it was me ;)

Jessica, glad you enjoyed your trip! The 13th is going to be such an exciting day! Hope you are able to see the gender FX

EmsMom - Glad you are feeling better and hope those hours ticked past quick sticks!

Meags and Misty Mom - I also HATE people like that. I really don't understand them. I lock my kitty inside at night. We had vicious cats in our area that kept attacking my babies so it was safer. They're happy as pie now.

Jessica - Glad you had a good time in Durbs, it was rather cold though! Fx you get to see the sex.

Meags we also have collecte our fair share of stray kitties.. last year one of our neighbours had a cat, I assumed was a Tom, that they always locked out and basically forgot about - so "he" would come to our place and we would give him food. Then one day I noticed he was a very pregnant she! We are not allowed pets in our complex, but my immidiate neighbour and I go permission to keep her and the kittens till they were old enough to home - she eventually gave birth to 4 kitties under Ems bed while we were out,a nd we wer lucky enough to keep and look after the family for 2 months :) I miss having animals so much. Mat won't even let me go and help out at the shelter anymore cause I always come back with a stray. As soon as we arrive in Aus he has promised me we can adopt a preggy kitty and keep the entire litter. Along with 2 dog a ferret and some chickens :) (I'm still working on the goat and teacup pig)

Mitsy, I think most people have a problem with cats stealing food - best to do would be to lock the food away at night, your little ones more than likely don't eat at night anyway, or leave the food in your room with you and them?

Well I'm at least feeling better now, only 15 hours till my scan and I'll be sleeping for at least 7 of those :)

ooh Meags I rally cant st and people like that! Cant believe she did not even know what Neutered is! Its people like her that cause so many homeless kitties!!! I am hoping it was just a once off. I have seen the cat before in our garden, but never inside. We have for the last month "trusted" our littl eones who ar enow fully garden trained, so we took away the litter tray and leave one window open for them which is where garfield (the ginger intruder i have named) must of come in. Will keep a close eye on it. He is huge so not like he needs to "steal" the food!

Hi MistyMom!!

I also have 2 kitties (Bling and Minky) but they are already 6 years old. We had a 'stray' come and decide he wants to live here in June. At first I did everything to get him out but he kept coming back (cat flap) and I would spray water at him, shout, my cats attacked him. He just never left.
I then started feeling guilty that this poor kitty has no home and it's winter and here I am throwing water at him. so I let him in....and kept him...

I named him Zakumi and put up posters in the complex with photos to see if anyone claimed him. After 3 days no one did and he was beginning to spray in the house so I decided he is now mine and I'll neuter him, vaccinate him etc etc.

so I did!!!! That was the Thursday....he stayed all day and night, ate the expensive food, slept on the bed. My cats hated him so much but he just saw their attacking as playing as he is still young.

On the Sunday I was on a course and DH was at home. He called to say the owner came and took Zak back!!!!!! I was heart broken :( I went to her unit to demand him back (she didnt miss him for a full week so why is she coming now....) and she wasn't home. but I heard Zak inside crying and crying so then I was also crying and trying to get him to jump onto the window ledge so I could steal him back!!!!!

Anyway, the next day I spoke to the owner. She looks very simple and didnt even know what I meant when I said he's been neutered. She didnt even know what the vaccination card was....I offered to buy the cat from her and she said no, it's her baby blah blah blah.

I was not happy...but decided maybe it's for the best since we are immigrating and taking 2 cats is expensive enough.
Well, a month later, he is back. So since July, Zak spends every single day here. He comes around 4-5am and leaves around 6pm. He eats a HUGE amount of food, sleeps on the bed with my 2 cats, plays with them, lies on the couch. And I've decided to just leave it.

She cant love him that much if she doesnt even wonder where he is during the day. They dont have a cat flap and live on the upper level so surely she knows when he goes out at 4am he cant get back in until the evening......
