Tazzy, yeah I got myself worried about this issue, I was def bargaining on not paying my consults for the rest of the year at least, already owing gynae R500 I really dont know who to ask.. nobody is really clued up on this issue at Discovery and Im sure my broker is going to bleh bleh aswell. Along with that she made me aware that with my son we were covered up to 200% and if I move down to a core plan then Ill only be covered 100% so most likely will have extra to pay.. what to do??? Do you know if your gynae and hospital is on their preferred list? If they are then there is nothing to worry about, its only when they are not that it becomes a problem, especially the hospital as that is the big amounts, the gynae is only small bits so thats ok. My gynae charged R4000 for delivering my son and if Discovery only then pays 80% then I would only need to pay the remaining bit which is only about R800 or so. Let me know what you can find out!

I think my little babie has either moved or is very busy the last day or so.. I felt *her*????????? ok or him very high last night while lying in the bath and made like a small bump just below my belly. And then a few times today I felt the movement. Getting exicted about that now

Kimika - Youve got me worried about this PMB issue now. I am phoning them first thing Monday morning to find out. There is always a catch with these nice things they do for us. How unfair!!
But atleat if they are including the birth, then the Anaesthetist, Gynae, and Paed will be paid for in full! ( I hope) I had to pay in quite a bit for that last time, because my plan only cover 100% of med aid rates and most specialists charge 400%.

Lucy so glad all went well! Pity about telling your folks, but at least they know now Must be so excited!!

I think I've officially over the MS, although I do find myself getting a little naar if I don't eat within an hour of waking. So as long as I do that I'm 100's!

Got our ladies night tonight, so really looking forward to that! Nice to have a night off for just girls

How is everyone else doing? Nice plans for the week-end??
Tomorrow we're off to kalk bay to the pancake house with the big family. So that should be fun as well

Meags, I think this little baby will come late.. I know I ovulated late and if I work out 40wks from there then my due date is closer to 10march. So Ill be expecting little baby to come anywhere between 2 and 12 march. My son didnt come before his date so I doubth this one wil

Ok this is a stupid question but do you guys really need to go to Miami? Is that part of hubby's job, to travel or be flexibile? People's priorities do change ... but Im sure you guys actually WANT to move overseas so that isnt the real problem.. And I guess if you tell hubby you dont want to go at all he will prob burst a vein or something But I agree, he needs to chat with his boss and lay out the options.. like you said, your date is not changing

I am actually not helping my friend out at all really. She just doesnt want to go to the hospital before 5cm dilated so I will just do a quick check for her once her pains are strong

Kimika, I am happy to doula for you if we're here and I'm not popping. you are about 3 weeks ahead of me and I dont think this one will come early.

As for the issue about moving and DH...I really shat him out last night.
For me, I have decided I am giving birth here, at Genesis. I made peace with this decision and am now fixed on it since he wasn't giving me any answers.
Now he says if they can take us to Miami by January, am I happy to give birth there, and honestly, I'm not!!!
So I told him first preference is here, and if there is no choice, then fine...Miami it is.
So we'll see what happens!!
He says he will tell his boss next time he speaks to him but he is worried it'll jeopardise us going there. I explained that whenever he decides to tell them, my due date ain't changing!!!!!

Lucy, that is so sweet how you told your in laws!!!! Pity about the cousin at your parents how annoying!!! But I'm sure they are just as excited anyway

AWW LUCY-- thts wonderfull news.. im sure ur relieved.. sorry about u had to break the news to ur parents.. but atleast u won with ur inlaws... why was baby measuring 9 weeks n 4days.. shouldnt u be past the 10week mark?? sorry if i got it wrong..
girls im getting super paranoid.. veryy little symptoms and my mind working overtime.. just have to wait it out till the 13 now.. i am just praying everyday tht everything will be on track n we find the heartbeat when go for the scan.. plus this morning i realised after time was up tht i hadnt used my cyclogest and while wer fasting it cant be done!!!!! so smsd gyne n asked her, she wasent very happy but lets see how it goes..

Lucy thats fantastic news So by the time you go for your next scan the little buds will have formed into perfect arms and legs with all the little digits So cute!

Sorry the news to parents didnt go as planned but Im still sure they are super happy and excited!
