EmsMom - Hope that the MS free days keep stretching on!

My scan went off wonderfully. I was nearly hyperventillating before I was so stressed but all for nothing. The bushbaby had a heartbeat of 173 and has grown (was 9w4d). He/she was moving slowly and had the arm and leg buds. Dr said by the growth from last scan, literature puts my chances of "taking a baby home" at 89% Which I think is fab! If I make it to 12 weeks then he puts it at 98%.

Telling my parents - What a flop ..... my cousin was there and we waited and waited and he didn't leave. So eventually we did without saying anything. So We emailed them the pics later and I phoned Mom and said she has to check someting on the email and get Dad to help cos it is a funny attachment. They are super happy but it wasn't the same!

Telling the Inlaws - Cos they staying with us we showed them around our extension we are building and then when we got to the "nursery" I pulled out the scan pic and DH said "we think we'll put this here" They were so surprised ..... went much better!

Meags, how exciting about your friend's baby coming soon!! Are you going to be at the birth or just assisting her beforehand? I wanted to say before.. it wouldve been great to have you as a doula but now your prob going to be in Miami and highly preggie by the time mine is ready to be born.

Ooo Emsmom, I remember so well those naps with baby on my chest ag and the smell of them when they are so tiny!!! Now my son just smells like bovril all the time .. lol

Two more weeks to go for next scan.. sooo long!!

Karen - Its a pleasure. If they do approve and your Gynae isnt part of the Designated Service providers. Then they will only pay 80% of discovery health rates. I think discovery health rate for a consult is R264. My Gynae charges R375. So I do pay in a bit.

I got to see Girly's Kaylee last night and she slept one my chest for about an hour. Was so lovely and I smelt like baby the whole night! My best sleep was always with Em on my chest, I could so easily have falled asleep last night with kaylee.

Morning ladies

I am SO excited today!!!!!! My friend will be 37 weeks tomorrow and has been having a lot of Braxton Hicks lately. Yesterday at her gynae appointment it was showing 3 small contractions in 10 minutes.
She says they are not painful at all unless she is bending over or something. This morning she got her show!!!!!

So if those contractions get any stronger, I'll pop over to check if she's dilating as she doesn't want to keep going to hospital with a 'false alarm'.
