I know from Em we bought so many expensive things that we never used at all, so wont be making that mistake again this time.

I just had my first strange craving - chilli bovril and mayo on toast.. so I allowed myself an evening carb and had it, and wasn't bad.

I've been on a mission today to make more space in the house, clearing, giving things away etc. DH has some nice ideas as well. We don't want to get a bigger place now anyways, so will make do with what we have till Aus.

had a nice nap this afternoon with Em, so feeling full of energy now :) Will be able to do my evening exercises.

Meemo i like that travel system as well (read about it in the latest My pregnancy). R 6000 is a lot, but I have checked and it is £230 in the uk (about R2 700) so i will probably ask my sister in law to bring me one when she comes in Dec - its more than half price! In fact think i need to do a bit more research as I am sure that i could get a lot more things cheaper from the uk! My father in law is shipping over a new kitchen he has bought in the uk (also half the price than here, even with import duties, so may ask hin if i can throw in a few goodies!!) :)

SIL has that travel system, and it is really nice. So my decision is based on her for that.

DH and I started looking already, and checking prices. :) I am sure as I go I will change brands on a few things, probably add more things as well.

Graco I have always liked, no idea why.

Bran and banana should also sit heavy on your tummy in the mornings. Hope it passes soon for you.

i eat all bran flakes with a banana for breakfast otherwise my tummy doesnt work!!

ok so from your list, i would say that you can ask friends to buy you the following for baby shower:

nappy bin
babysense sling
dummy clip
dummy steriliser
sleep positioner
play gym
hooded towels
avent starter kit
avent steriliser

they are not overly expensive but will save you!

how do you already know you want these?? i have not looked for anything yet!!!!

Meags, it is your body telling you that you need it. Try Pronutro for breakfast, that also helps. And then have starch for lunch. Surely we wont pick up that much... I rather gain than feel half dead the whole time :(

Also, there are no toys, blankets and clothes, or spoeg doekke here cause I am sure people will give those as pressies.

We already have a wooden cot and changing station ect, and the decorating of nursery is my moms baby so all that is not here.
