I can't find those purity mommy lollies at the shops :( anyone know who stocks them perhaps?

We made a list of everything we will need for the baby, and wow! It is a lot of money! Kinda an eye opener, and that is without clothes ect. Just the big stuff.

Kaylea - i agree with Meemo, if you are fit and doing regular excersice then the walk is fine. I have read in many books and websites on pregnancy that if you do not do any regular excercise DO NOT start in your first 12 weeks. Hope that helps :) Good luck if you do it!

HI Girls, Sorry I have not read the posts as of yet. I am on my dad's computer and he doesn't know it so I came on very quick.

I went to Mowbray this morining and I was turned away. They say I live the wrong side of Red Cross Childrens hospital and have to go to Hanover Park. They must be mad... to you joburgers its like hillbrow. I refuse to set my foot there. I was so angry and disapointed. I don't know what to do now. The only thing I can think of is if one of you ladies live here in Cape Town and have a nice government clinic or hospital near you if you could let me know and if you are willing to get whoever owns the house to organise a police advidavet that i live with you and a utility bill I would be able to go to that clinic instead. I would rather give birth on the street than go to Hanover Park. My mom refuses to take me there and i don't blame her.

I have had to give up fasting because my blood pressure is very low, I had this last time but only much later on in my pregnancy.

I have had no fun in the bedroom cos I haven't had my husband around since the 15th of last month. LMAO.

Congrats to anyone new who has joined here.

Will try catch up soon. Hugs

Kaylea - HGC is the hormone found in your blood and urine when you are pregnant. It is what the test line in a HPT picks up, and what they test in your blood when you do a blood preganacy test.

As for the walk, if you normally walk such distances and are used to it, it is fine. Although I would personally not do it if I was not used to walking such distances, at least till your first scan and gynea says it is ok.

Hope this helps, I am also a newbie, so ,maybe the other girls have better answers :)

What are HGC,having a blond moment?

I also wouldn't mind twins since both families have strong genes for twins.

Please advise, there is a competition I joined here at work for walking before I became preggies,so I will be walking 4.6 km distance,I do not know if I should walk or not as I do not know if it might pose any risks to my unborn baby

Hi everyone!

Wow, I am sleepy this week.

Misty - Dh and I decided last year that Friday the 13th are extra lucky days! And you proved our point, to find out you pregnant on that day means it is a blessed day for you. From now on you will always enjoy Friday the 13th! :) My parents love to fly on Friday the 13th, they get the whole plane to themselves :)

Thankx everyone for the wishes regarding Bella. My mom is still quite sad, and the house is so empty with out her :(

Emsmom - Yes, I did tell SIL. She was not very suprised, I am sure MIL told her, even though I asked she not

We are also not having any fun in the bedroom at the moment, waiting for first scan.

But while we on the topic, last time we did, straight after I got a terrible pain in lower middle abdomen, with no bleeding. What is it, does it happen??? That is why it is closed for business till doc gives go ahead.

I was helping a matric boy with his prelim exam this morning, and it is a one on one session. As soon as I got there I was so naar, I thought I was going to be sick. Now its at a boy only school, so no girl bathrooms accept in the staff room, and it is a prelim exam so I can not leave him alone. I send DH a sms to pray it goes away, AND IT DID!!! :) So there is power in a prayer! Although it was back staright after exam again!

Hayley, I dont understand. I thought you only have HGC in your system if you are pg?!?!?!
