The movement around women who decide to have babies without partners is referred to as choice moms - this may be a good blog to start with and then see if there are links as you read more.

The woman who writes this blog has also written a book about being a single parent - out of choice, not necessity.

Hi Bella - that is great, its a huge decision, but as you said you seem to have thought it through.

Searching for blogs and related stories where women have gone through the same, might be a good idea so you can see what others have experienced. I always like to read about people who have gone through a similiar experience to see how the managed the pot-holes in the road of life. I may choose diffently but sometimes there are life lessons from others, that are easier learnt when someone else has learnt the hard way.

I think any decision you make that is not along the lines of "meet a guy, love the guy,het married and have a baby" will be met with scepticism and some judgement.

No matter what decision you will make you will need to always deal with those who have different views, and are often a tad on the narrow minded side, but such is life.
