I know what you mean, I am 18 wks pregnant and have a 11 month LG. I really do not mind what we have, and no one can change it.

With our LG we choose not to find out and it was the most amazing day when she born and I was told, deep down I did kind of want a LG, but wasn't set on it. With this second pregnancy, people just cannot understand why we do not want to know, its something we enjoy finding out on the day, and I get told, what if its another girl? Awesome, if she is healthy and happy or even not, I am so blessed to be given the privilege to have another child! And if its a boy, also awesome. We tried for 3 years to fall prenant the first time.

People have nothing better to do than think up bizarre things to say and I think we are also super senstive while pregnant

I have 2 boys. I wanted a girl when I was pregnant the second time and then I would have had a boy and girl but the dr announced it was a boy and I was not in the least bit dissapointed.

Now I have my 2 boys I think of all the advantages there are having 2 of the same. Pass me down clothes, cot linen, toys etc...

I am quite happy with my 2 monsters and would not change it for the world.

Joli! I love that story... I wouldnt tell anyone if I was expecting a girl. All my BF sisters girls wear only pink.. yuk.

I know Aspoestertjie...any baby is a blessing! and I also believe that God gives us what we are meant to have.

@ Joli, I know sometimes its frustrating....when they say and what if its another girl!!....What do they expect you to say.."Naw I am gonna exchange it or get a refund cos its not what I ordered!!"

I agree Preni - people do sympathize - they say things like - argh it's OK as long as the baby is healthy - pity it's not a boy, but it's OK etc. etc. Now that I think about it I also hate it when people say 'as long as baby is healthy'! Cause what if it's not? Are you going to give it away or exchange it?

Preni I was single at the time and I had EVERYTHING blue and everything was washed etc. I was convinced it was a boy and when the 3D scan confirmed it's a boy I was over the moon. I think I cried for 2 weeks non stop when she came out being a girl! Shame she had to wear blue for a while, but a lot of friends brought pink stuff when they heard the news . I'm only 10 weeks now and didn't want to find out, but hubby wants to. He says it's easier to prepare and get the right stuff.

I really couldn't see myself with a girl, but once I got used to Sheldon being Kayla, I realized that it actually really does not matter whether your child is a girl or a boy.

Everyone already goes - what if it's another girl??? And I'm like - THEN WHAT???

I have a LG (8 months) and am pregnant. I KNOW this is a LG, although it isn't confirmed yet (only 15 weeks).

Inlaws want a boy for their son...Hubby and me don't mind.

I am more than thrilled to have another LG. I have only one sister and no other siblings, and we had a blast growing up.

But people tend to think that we would automatically want a boy since we have a girl and since my Husband is a boy (ha-ha)

I am religious and just tell people that we get what we are intended to have - only if they get on my nerves. Otherwise I just smile although it irritates me.

ANY child is a blessing, do they not know that???

In heart I knew it was a girl...and was thrilled but I also knew hubby wanted a boy to do boy stuff with.

Wow, so the first was confirmed as a boy but came out a girl! I thought that mistake couldn't be made with boys!
I guess you guys had to go out and buy pink stuff quick.

Our first one we didn't find out but everyone assumed it was a boy cos of the way I was carrying.
