HOW SOON COULD DR TELL THE SEX OF BABY?????

Asp, apperently the doc can tell from 16-17 weeks already. I googled some pics of 2D scans that show the difference between a girl and boy.

I was thinking - seems to me that most gynaes could tell earlier if it was a boy? I am correct? Whose who had boys, when did you find out? And those with girls aswell?

My LG we only found out at 18 weeks, confirmed at 20 weeks with anatomy scan.

Gynae would not say anything before 18 weeks as she prefers to wait till she is 100% sure. Okay, in all fairness my appointment before 18 weeks was at 12 weeks

It seems that more and more gynaes are taking a "guess" early on and only reinstating this at about 18+weeks. What are your feelings on this?

I need to know the sex of baby to detemine the room, clotches etc. Thus can't wait anymore.

Oh, and I am talking about normal 2D scans, not 3D or 4D - just the normal ones the gynaes do.
