Champers, hope your lab gets better. Mine has also been sick (vomiting), took him to vet but he said all is well.

Talking about jobs and quitting, i left mine also. But that is because I could not stand being in RSA and hubby abroad. But i want to give birth at home. I am such a patriot and don't like the idea of my child having dual citizenship.

I am so irritated at my tenant. She always gives me problems when it comes to paying the rent. She hasn't paid for July yet and Just Letting found out yesterday when i alerted them. What is the point of administrators?

Maryke, glad the twins are doing well. Family business sounds like a good move- hopefully your hours will be flexible enough for you to spend time with your little ones.

GML, hope you got your sour sweets. For me, the thought of anything sour still turns my stomach.

I also got a couple of SA preg and baby books as gifts, can't remember the titles. But I've been reading up excessively about pregnancy and childbirth online (hence my choice of screen name).

Miksmummy, the book I ordered is "Hypnobirthing: The Mongan Method: A natural approach to a safe, easier, more comfortable birthing" by Marie Mongan. Its supposed to come with a CD. You can go to Kalahari and type "hypnobirthing" under the search function. My order hasn't arrived yet though so I can't say if its any good yet.

Morning ladies

Ok it's official I am having a week of hell so felt so good yesterday but after seeing babas I got so naar I was close to puking could barely touch supper and then after that I had the runs I mean really the runs of what I am actually laughing at myself it's so weird

Babas doing fine they are lying head to head the one was practecing breathing it was so nice to see the tummy going up and down up and down they measure at 8cm and 10cm both weighing 142g dr done a 3d it look so pretty but couldn't really see anything my lo enjoyed the scan very excited and we managed not to find out the sexes of the babas dr nearly told us but stopped him quickly hubby is confinced it's boy girl

GML I actually resigned the 1st July I am going to help out hubby at the office he's sales and marketing manager resigned so we decided I will go run that side of the department it's time we take the family businnes more seriously expecially for our kiddies

Google- I'm looking for anything. Admin is good. I was a recruitment consultant and had to quit for study purposes plus we moved to the west rand and I was working in Sunninghill. We only have 1 car so travelling was going to be an issue. Now I'm a Receptionist/Admin Ass because this is is what I could find at the time.

Talking about books- I have read 2 books both of which were written by SA authors (this is important for me especially when it comes to suggestions etc), they have everything. Will have to get the names for you tomorrow.

I'm craving sour sweets now. I cant stop thinking about them

Champers, glad the doggie is okay and you like the new car (sorry there were hassles first). My heartburn seems to have stopped lately but before that I found that sucking ice cubes helped (weird i know, and then the ice-cubes became an addiction).

GML, what kind of job are you looking for?

Miksmummy, I will definitely let you know what I think of the book once I read it (it still hasn't arrived, they said it would be 10 days but I can't remember when i ordered it or whether 10 days is up yet). Maryke, I will definitely read it with a critcial eye and if anything seems dodgy I won't use it at all. And I don't have kids yet, but watched an eposide of Ben10 once with the nephews and agree that it is way too 'dark' for a kids cartoon.

Hey ladies!

So my dog is doing better this morning thanks for asking. He is still swollen but not itching as badly and he is no longer whining. Poor boy. I had to give him a LOT of tablets last night and this morning though.

We finally got to fetch our car this morning. It was quite a nightmare with everything going wrong. I must say we are glad that ordeal is over. Buying a new car is not that easy.

I know what you mean when you say you don't take people's crap. When we left the saleman, he shook my hand and said "Its been an experience". My husband says I can be fairly harsh on people at the moment. But I've come to terms with it now, I understand that I'm a bitch. One step closer to becoming "nice".

The space looks great. Although we are gutted to say goodbye to our Audi, its a new era in our lives so we have to think of the family and downscale to someone more family friendly.

Ladies, a friend of mine suggested I get this book: "The happiest baby on the block" by Dr.Harvey Karp, MD. She says that it saves a lot of heartache because it gives you huge amounts of tips to avoid colic etc. I'm going to buy it as soon as I can.

I ate a chicken and mushroom pie and just experienced heartburn for the first time. My mom says its just going to get worse. Yay!
