Shame GML. Thats not cool. When I had the stretching pains, I wasin unbearable pain too.

So had my scan today. Doc says I am 18 weeks 3 days and baby is measuring 18 weeks 5 days.

Its a BOY! I was right the whole time. Wish I bet money on it, would have made a killing!

Morning Ladies

I have the worst pains ever. I cried so much this morning hubby didn't know what to do.

He insisted I not come in to work but I just couldn't. I think I there is more to come and they may not understand me wanting to take time off.
I think it's punishment for me having such an easy 1st trimester

OMG- Ladies, I dont wish any of you to go through what I'm going through right now.

I felt very tight above my pubic bone but the tightness is gone and it has been replaced by pain.

mutha2b- I think just telling her you forgive her will make things better for your healing.

Wow mutha2b, I would also find it hard to forgive someone after something like that. Plus I'm sure you will always worry that she still has a thing for your husband (sorry, not trying to make things worse). But yes, for your own peace of mind, it might be worth at least trying to forgive her.


GML, I like mutha2b's suggestion of more than one name. Even better, make Mpho the middle name.

Elaine, must be nice to feel the baby move often. I only feel very slight movements about once a day.

Where are all the other regulars like Tanya, Maryke, Fancyface, Champers, Miksmummy etc?

I have a gynae appt tomorrow, hope we can find out if its a boy or girl.

My cousin came onto my husband and he felt uncomfortable and told me about it. She was my maid of honour but did not show up at wedding (wedding was at 3, she came to venue, an hour later) until late. We called her, phone was off. She told my mom's friend she did not feel like going to my wedding anymore.
The lady she had organised for me to do my make-up and hair didn't also pitch. Luckily, I had another lady on stand by and she did not disappoint.
After ceremony, she left and i have not heard from her since.
I guess for me the difficult part is that i have never been betrayed like that. Also i did not expect it from her of all people. I have no interest in reconnecting with her, i just don't know how i will react when i see her. I just pray to God to help me forget her.

Anyway, enough of my blabbering.......


Elaine, welcome back.. I hope all is well. How was the meeting with the midwife?

GML, you can always give a child two or three names. Just add the name you like to her birth certificate.
As for the headache, i just keep drinking water. I don't even want to take a panado. But the tv and computer makes it worse, so take a break.

mutha2b I heard about the midwife through to of my friends that used her and also alot of other references by other mommies that used her.

I am going to the gynae the 22nd July, then we will hopefully found out the sex of baby.

I can also feel my little one for a while now. It is so nice to know that baby is there.

I am sorry that I am so scarce. Will try and check in more often.

GML, congrats on your little boy. I really cant wait to know what I am carrying this time around.

I will just this one go for the sake of peace. But I don't think it is about culture.

GML, is that a cultural thing where the MIL names the child?

As far as the headache goes, I think you can only take panado.
