Hi everyone
Hmmm, I think I should make it a goal to buy everything I need for my hospital bag and pack it this weekend.
GML and Maryke, its so funny that you guys are talking about working shorter hours these days. I have been the exact opposite, getting in to work at the crack of dawn and working later and then working at home on my laptop- not by choice, but its just been so busy at work that when I don't I end up waking up in the middle of the night panicking about stuff that hasn't been done. So partially for my own sanity, but partially driving myself crazy in the process.

At least I have six months at home to look forward to afterwards.
GML, I have no clue what to use for the stitches, but the bucket with salt doesn't sound pleasant. I think I read that people use icepacks to soothe the area and just clean with disinfectant like diluted dettol or something. As for pumping, I would think that after sounds more logical right? I also read that some woman have baby on one breast and pump the other at the same time so one doesn't feel more full than the other at the end. Can anyone recommend what is a good breast pump to buy or whether one is needed at all?
Maryke, I am another first timer....
Champers, the maternity pads that came in my medical aid bag were Carriwell branded. It came with one large pack, maybe I should get one more just to be safe. I still have stock of regular pads from about eight months ago (not needed recently for obvious reasons).
I have had bad hip/pelvis pain from the first trimester already, apparently too much losening of the ligaments of the sacro-iliac joint. I even tried going for physio without luck. I have just gotten so used to it now that I hardly notice it any more.
Just so glad it is Friday!!!!
