Morning everybody!
Been reading all the posts everyday, but couldn't stay connected for long enough to reply!

Champers - I've also resisted buying matertnity pants for very long - until I fitted one and found how amazingly comfortable they are!! Now I'm hooked! Finding maternity clothes that doesn't cost a fortune is a real battle, isn't it? Especially if you work and need to look good every day!

Glad I'm not the only one feeling grumpy and irritable these days - I feel like the only thing I really want to do is lie down in a cool place and be left alone. Not really up to seeing patients at the moment! And if one more person tells me that I should not complain that I'm hot, because I'm going to suffer more towards December......... I'm going to explode! Hope this feeling will pass!

Feeling as big as a house suddenly - definitely in need of some TLC!!!!! Wish I had some more me-time to enjoy this experience, feels like time is just flying by without me realising what's going on!

Oh my goodnes - sounding like a real agony-aunt. Sorry ladies!

mutha2b- welcome back. Good to hear you're settled now. Which hospital have you chosen now? Most hospitals do free 3/4d scans when you book a bed with them.

Are any of you dreaming of your babies yet? I keep dreaming of him with a head full of hair. I was feeding him butternut purity and he had this bib I bought at edgars on. The bib says "I eat and sleep soccer just like daddy".

He was so cute.

Anyway, I have made peace with waking up at 2am every morning.

Just popping in to say hi. have been reading the posts, just no time to reply.

I am doing well. I finally have a gyn. I saw her on tues last week. She is not sure if my baby is girl but thinks so. She is one shy girl, like a real lady she keeps her legs closed (hope until she finishes university one day).

SHe also thinks i will give birth around 27-30 November. I just want a healthy baby.

I have been thinking about going for 3 or 4d scan. Better make my mind up fast (i'm already heading for 31 weeks).

GML, i also don't have a bag yet let alone anything for baby. I feel like i'm dragging my feet.

Ladies, I bought a maternity pair of jeans from Mr Price size 34 and paid R70. They are slightly bigger than the normal 34 but are so worth it. If you look around, you can pick up well priced things.

Class last week was just running through whether we are ready which I dont think anyone can say for sure. Also we got told a lot about Baby Blues and Post Natal depression.

SO PLEASED that you posted that pic Miksmommy! That is too cute man. My 3d is on Monday. I think I will cry when I see our little boy.

Baby shower is 9 October so not too long now.

GML, we were also told about what to pack. COMFY slippers, dark panties or disposables, comfy PJ's, hairband, toothbrush, facecloth... Its only 2 days if you have the baby naturally or 3 days for c sec so not the end of the world if I forget something. We were told not to take towels because the hospital provides. Also, its worth asking ladies, whether the hospital allows you to take your own baby clothes or if they dress them. My friend who had her daughter at a private hospital was told that she is not allowed to bring her own clothes because the hospital has its standard baby grows they put on the newborns.

I have my 30 week scan on Thursday.

Edgars is the worst. I went there on Friday and the same clothes they had a few months back were still hanging there.

Now that we're almost hitting the 30 week mark has anyone thought or started getting stuff for their hospital bag yet? I feel like I'm way too relaxed for my liking.

Champers- I know you hit 30 week mark first then me so have you thought about it? And have they mentioned what you'll need at your classes.

Who is having their baby shower soon?

It really is aweful, clothing manufactuerers seem to think all pregnant woman suddenly get very wide shoulders and arms. I have only put on weight on my tummy, so I just drown if I try to buy regular clothes in larger sizes. I couldn't find a single pair of jeans or formal trousers in anything smaller than a size 36- i'm more like a 28 (these big things were at Edgars, Woolies and Mr Price). I'm not going to these fancy maternity boutiques to pay a fortune for something I'll be wearing for a month. Oh well, when my pants stop fitting I will just start wearing dresses (not ideal in a formal corporate environment but what can I do).
