Unbearable to get little dressed or nappy changed

LOL Feb! If they did that I think a good majority of people would not have kids!

Lorelai is such a busy little baby and i asked my mom yesterday that i cannot remember that Amandalynn was this busy 0 her response - she only started to walk @ 11months, but she was mighty busy packing out all the cupboards and driving you crazy.

So i think they drive us crazy and then they do something like say mama and you forget about what they did.

I had round about the same discussion with my mother yesterday and pointed out some little things that no one ever told me and she was like "well you either wouldn't have believed it or you'd have one of those 'it will never happen to me' type of ideas"
Anyway, being a mommy is full of dirty little secrets that no one shares because you forget about it so quickly when the stage passes!

My son was a Jack Russel in his past life. He is always on the go but he still allows me to change him without a fight. I think part of the reason is because I keep a basket of "goodies" ready to keep him amused. I find new things daily to put in the basket. Eg head lamp, little bottle with lid etc and I let him choose something to play with while I change his nappy etc.

It works really well.

They dont give you this list because then you wont have kids. lol

Charlotte - You are so right! But why doesn't anyone give you this list when TTC?

Manda i made peace with a couple of this with my first child and then you tend to stop worrying and stressing and in the end it does not bother you anymore.

- my place will always be a mess - i will never stop cleaning
- my house will always be noisy - kids = noise
- i will never sleep 8 hours straight ever again
- my bed is not my own anymore
- washing never ends
- sand is meant to be in the kitchen on the tiles and not out side
- little works of art on my walls - dirty hand prints
- until the kids are older forget about decorating with pretty little things, they just break
- My bathroom will always have water all over the floor after they brush teeth
- i will never sleep late again

after i made peace with all of this, it didn't bother me that much.
