Okay, I apologise in advance if I am a bit harsh with you, but....
YOU are the adult in the relationship, YOU set the pace !
She is old enough to understand when you speak and YOU need to stand firm. There is almost nothing more determined and stubborn than a 2 year old who is not getting immediate gratification.
So YOU need to set the boundries. If you want her to sleep, you go thru to her, tell her it is sleeping time and then WALK OUT. She will scream and shout and kick and scream some more, but it is up to YOU as the PARENT to make her realise that life is not all about her, there are limits and night time is for SLEEPING !
As long as you keep running after her, the longer she will take advantage of it. You will have really hectic few nights, so maybe start it on the weekend (if you work), or on an evening where you will be able to sleep the next day, cos in the beginning you will be up for most of the night.
But the choice is YOURS - carry on going thru to her for the next 3 or 4 years, or stand firm for a week and be able to get a full night's sleep for the rest of your life.
