Could have sworn I posted a reply to this but I see it's not here.

I wanted to tell you that i'm holding thumbs because the last 2 nights since Reece got his new Build a Bear Jack Russel Pup Jakey he has been going to sleep normal time and staying put in his Cot.

LOL - I know it can't be funny for you but sounds like you have a child that knows what he wants in no uncertain terms.

You must try and video the escape if you haven't already. I would have aboslutely no clue what to say apart from that he has to grow out of it at some point.

Liam's also started banging his head on the sides - more like throwing himself against them. Sometimes in the corners. It's as if he's frustrated. The noise he makes sometimes sounds like somebody is smashing something up. As a result I've also started thinking about moving to a bed once he's walking.

Hi Juno, he scales the sides of the camping cot like he is escaping Alcatraz, you should see it, he is quite waxed at it and he even does it in the pitch dark. he used to have a proper wooden cot but he kept banging his head on the sides of it (he is s rough sleeper) and so we took it apart (It's a bed in a box thingy) and put the Single bed there and got a bed rail but then the little mister slept for 2 weeks in his bed and 1 night just decided he wasn't going to anymore.. He went back into the camping cot and has been sleeping there quite happily until recently when he started playing these silly games and yes, he does climb out and come looking for everybody and then we duly take him back and put him back down only for his to be out the cot before we can walk out the room. It's so tiring.

lol gets out of a camping cot by himself? How the hell does he do that lol. I'm sure it must be exhausting. So what he then comes looking for everybody? Pity you can't get anything that has higher sides. I myself am so glad I bought a really sturdy and reinforced cot (thank to advice from my mother) as I'm sure Liam would have broken it by now. He's taken to stomping really hard on the base and I'm interested to see how much strain the thing can take.

Happy birthday to Reece but what a way to celebrate =( hope he's feeling a lot better now.

Seems this is our own personal thread, it;s just you and me chatting for a while now. Where are the other ladies?

Reece has a bed and a camping cot in his room and he actually sleeps in the camping cot and this is what he is managing to escape out of all the time. He just scales the side like it's nothing. Does this for about 2 hours each night from when bedtime starts at 7.30 until about 9pm which is really hectic and tiring for us all.

Shame it was his birthday on Wednesday, he turned 2. To round the day off he managed to bash his chin open on the low wooden windowsill which required a trip to the emergency room for stitches. Shame I felt so sorry for him but he was so good for the Doctor.

I can't see from the ticker thing how old Reece is?

Oh dear that must be awful!! I don't know whether Liam would be able to get out of his cot in the first place - where does Reece sleep? Sounds like a bed. Where does he actually go when he gets out of bed? Weird I've never heard of this. Put it to the other moms. Maybe put him back in a cot and see what happens?

Liam although a very light sleeper tends to sleep a straight 11/12 hr night unless there is something wrong like being too hot etc. Even when he does wake up it will never be completely and he won't stand up which is what he does when he is fully awake.

No we havn't had a chance to go but I really would like to. Yes we finally sold the lounge suite but are now sitting on a matress on the floor in the lounge for a week now and will have to wait another as there has been a delay in the delivery of our new couches. Kids think it's a load of fun.

I have a question for you. You have a boy round the same age as mine. Does your LB also fight going to sleep and just keep getting up out of his bed/Cot a million times which can go on for hours of end until he eventually zonks out? we have never ever had this problem but lately it seems to have become quite and issue. i am lost and don't really know what to do about it.
