Didn't they test this on mythbusters the other day (yes sorry, the husband is in charge of the remote, then falls asleep while I listen to whatever he put the tv on!) That you can handle pain better when you swear real swear words (they tested it against saying nothing while in pain and saying stupid words like chair and fish instead of swearing) And as mothers I think we are always in some sort of pain
With regards to swearing I stopped the minute B started imitating us (one specific incident: we were driving in ct looking for a place had to turn around twice, the second time hubby said "ag goeie donder" then a little voice came from behind "donnnnnner" yeah, uhm oops. She was still facing backwards then so she was under a year.
But getting back to the question, I wouldn't worry about it too much.
B was a freak of nature or something, before she turned 15 months I made a list of words, I stopped at 50. She was in her new class (the potties) for 2 months when I said something about her birthday and the lady looking after her said "oh, she's turning 3 soon" I'm like no, in 4 months she turns 2.
But she was a LATE teether and almost has no hair on her head still and she couldn't climb on the couch till about 18 months. My father always says one thing stands still while something else develops.
