Ladies!! We have just returned from the oral hygienist. I am so proud of my little girl (3 years, 9 months)!!! We used role-playing the entire week, preparing her for what will happen.
The last time she saw the dentist about 4 months ago was a disaster, she screamed and refused to even sit in the chair. So, I was pretty nervous about today....As we got into the car she said that she is scared and that she doesn't want to go.
She made some drawings of the "germs" in her teeth for the oral hygienist to see how they look so that she can identify them!! This was the perfect ice-breaker when we entered the rooms. She was proud to give her the drawings. Luckily the lady was very friendly and had a real special touch to get my LG used to the environment.
She sat still and opened her mouth for the entire half an hour and followed all the instructions. I am so proud!!
PS: Luckily the yellow stains were only plaque buildup and not cavities yet. Her teeth are sparkly white again!!
We will defnitely brush regularly from this point on since the plaque was caused by poor cleaning. I guess we skipped more than a few times until she was 2 years old...
