Has anyone had lower abdominal pain/lower back pain after fertility drugs?

I am having that problem at the moment.. I phoned the doc and he said that I should rather come in for a scan. He mentioned over-stimulation of the ovaries. It's been a week now of constant pain so I am really hoping that this is not serious :(

Hi RubyDust... I read somewhere that if it takes longer than a year of trying to concieve, then we should go see someone, so I am not sure what the reason was for the process taking so long for us. No I did not take any prescribed meds. The first time I saw a doctor regarding my pregnancy was when I was 14 weeks and 4 days, but I do hope that it happens a lot quicker for you. Who knows...

Hi Kades mom,

Sorry to hear about your situation. It can't be easy!

When did you start with your first Clomid cycle?

Hello everyone.

I must say, i am also struggling to fall pregnant for over a year now.

I have a son who is three years old (Kade) and i had no problems falling pregnant with him, first time actually. i had an op - appendix removed and a dnc (to remove endo) and a laparoscopy and thats when i fell pregnant with him.

We have been trying ever since my boy turned two and no luck for months on end. i went for a check up at the gynae as i was confused at to what was going on, after months and months of trying we were disappointed every month :( Not cool.

I found out that i had this huge cyst ect and was out on meds to try and get rid of the cyst, that month i fell pregnant and found out by surprise actually, i went for my check up to see whats happening with the cyst and we saw a tiny little dot there, was like 3 weeks preg or so. I had finished the course of meds and everything was fine, but doc told me that he wants to see me every week to keep an eye on the cyst, i didnt think much about it. as i was actually excited.

a few days after seeing the doc (about 7/8 weeks) i went for another check up and i had a scan and the nurse looked very worried, i immediately saw the cyst was gone and that the fetus had not grown since i was there last, i started crying staright away! i knew what had happened, the gynae came in and told me that the fetus had died, i was shattered, i couldnt stop crying, as small as what the fetus was i was in love. then i saw another gynae- his partner, he gave me tablets to insert so that i can miscarry. as i actually didnt miscarry or anything, no pain, no bleeding nothing!

The next day i was booked in to have a D&C and when i went for my 6 weeks check up i was told there was nothing wrong ect, they tested the tissues and everything was fine.

I was told to wait two periods and to try again, this was in February, and so no luck since then, in June i decided to find another gynae and get a second opinion, as i felt this gynae was useless.

I went to see this new gynae, and guess what another operation, endometriosis and two cysts one on each ovary, the cyst grew on my colon. i was devastated that i had to go for another operation, as i had one in February and i was hoping that all would be sorted.

Still no luck in falling pregnant since June 2011, i was talking to a mother from my sons creche as she also struggled to fall pregnant, after taking clomid, she fell pregnant and now has two healthy little girls.

I went to the doc and asked for clomid, this is the first time taking clomid and i am hoping that it will work.

The problem is i never have a regular cycle, and never know when i am ovulating. so its always a guessing game.

I am glad that we can all relate somehow.

Wow! that was nice to get off my chest :(
