I'd imagine feeling a bit numb is the absolute appropriate response given what you've been through.
anyway, you have ~35 weeks ahead of you to feel all the emotions under the sun (yes, including excitement and joy)

hubby - shame, he's a typical male so he's excited but i'm my normal sceptical self when it comes to this and i'm not allowing myself any happiness.

Okay - so the nurse just called. my levels are at 4700 already which indicates 5 weeks and it's been exactly 5 weeks since my last period. feeling a teensy bit hopeful because the last time i went for bloods it showed 33 only for around 4 weeks.

I hate that I'd want to see a baby on a scan first before I leapt for joy.
