file Testing April- Easter Conceivers ;)

14 years 6 months ago #222241 by Chanz
Hello Ladies

How is everyone?

LMGA Jooste- you gave me a good giggle about your hubbies sperm LOL

Debbie- I agree it only takes one sperm. Goodluck with the urologist. Men tend to find it a bit more daunty than us ladies because it affects their ego. Nevermind that us ladies freely open our legs to gynaes just to fall preg LOL

AFM- going well so far. I think we got enough BD sessions in. Last sunday, tuesday, thursday, friday, and saturday and today  Hope its enough. We tried something different, if it works then I will come share my secret LOL
I started charting but will only see properly after next month.

Who is testing next?

Hi everyone. Just checking in. Debbie hang in there. My dh also had a very poor SA but it really does only take 1 sperm. Dh had 10ml p/ml, 50% motility, 7% morph, grade 2 and severe viscosity. But somehow here we are, 1 2y old, 1 miscarriage and 1 in the oven so hang in there. I also recommend sperm-i-prove

Babydust everyone!

Morning everyone!
I've got 6 jabs to go and will see the FS on Monday to scan the ovaries and see how it looks. I've been slightly concerned this morning as I have not really felt any ovary discomfort as yet. I would have thought that I would be feeling something by now (I'm CD10). Slightly bloated and have a dull headache ...but that is it.

Chanz: Regarding the vits...yes, Vit C (added on to your regular multi-vit) is wonderful. You can use up to 1000mg daily (breaking it up into 3 smaller dosages 3x per day). Apparently dosages of 2000mg per day can tend to dry up EWCM...so be on the look out for that! You can also take other multi-vits (like DH and I are doing at the moment) with Staminogro. Most of the minerals in the Staminogro is water soluble and therefore gets excreted from the body if not used. Luckily the new Staminogro is a slow release...and that helps you to get the most from the tablets. We are taking the other multivits in the mornings and then in the afternoons DH takes Sperm-I-Prove. Your body's need of multi-vits also greatly depends on the amount of fluids you consume (& what type...caffeine interferes with absorption of some minerals) and the amount of sleep and stress you experience. Both DH and I do not sleep a lot and both run our own businesses ...so we live a pretty stress-ful live. So...we are taking in more vits to compensate for that. We also tend to "eat on the run" ..and that is not good.

So..if you follow a healthy diet...I suppose you do not need to "overdose" like the 2 of us do.

My DH has obsolutely wonderful SA results!! The FS always jokes about his results and warns him that he can impregnate the whole town we live in with one blow (....then they both laugh!!...and I sit there ..thinking to myself....well...why can't you manage to make ME pg!!??)

His results: 108 million per ml / 90% motility / 31% morphology / Grade 3 forwards moving (graded between 1 to 4). He has however also made other changes...and since he did that...his results is the best it has ever been. He changed his undies to boxer shorts, drinks more water during the day, except for the odd glass of wine over w/ends...he stopped consuming alcohol altogether, he now forbids his staff to smoke around him anymore and he stopped carrying his cellphone in his trousers pocket! (also...no warm baths or laptop on the lap).

Bronz- I would recommend the pregnacare, but maybe finish the one you have. No point in wasting. What's nice about the pregnacare is that is has everything needed for healthy conception. Beats having to drink separate pills ;) Goodluck with the 2ww. It's a terrrible two weeks and I hate it, I always wish it by ;)

Snoekie- thanks so much for that info. REALLY helpful. I will have a look at the site. I have an android phone so really hope its compatible. I have heard the femara is expensive but like you say you are having good results with it. And thats important. Our FS wants us to try a yr on our own before trying fertility treatment again. Really hoping we don't need it  I noticed on the OPK box that the fine print mentioned PCOS. And funny enough I find that clearblue is the only OPK box that tells you that. Used opks from clicks for 2 yrs and never saw anything mentioned about PCOS  So guess I wasted R220 on the clearblue digital OPKS  O well guess thats how we learn LOL.

My sister and I were chatting today, she found out she is preg recently and was glad she didn't have to deal with counting cycles and testing etc... Reminded me how much of a habit it has become for us ladies to keep track of cycles, 2ww, test then get sad coz of a BFN and then the whole story starts again LOL. Wouldn't it be so nice if we all could get suprise pregnancies or decide one month to try and it actually works? LOL But I do know God gives extra special women curve balls ttc coz he knows we can handle it ;)

Lots and lots of baby dust to everyone  And bd your hearts out ;)

Hi Chanz,
I have PCOS.
I used Fertomid up to 150mg, horrid side effects.
Femara, no side effects. But is expensive R700 for five days of 5mg/day. and a lot of pharmacies don't want to break up the pack of 30 tablets. so it is a bit more difficult to get. The other thing is they don't prescribe Femara unless you have gone all the way to 150mg Fertomid/Clomid without success.

As far as the OPK's go, I don't use them at all anymore, 'cause got a lot of false possitives. went for bloods afterwords only to find out I never OV'ed. I've also read that they don't work for people with PCOS. Also if you look on clearblue digital OV tests box, it says not to use if you have PCOS. It is written minutely small... But it is there.

I now use BBT charting and checking CM. They have been very reliable for me.
I use www.fertilityfriend.com. You can chart in celsius, and the inteprate the info for you. and you can access it from your smartphone. I know you can with HTC and Blackberry, as they have a mobile site, that way you can emediately enter your info.
Info, ALWAYS temp at the same time each day, or as close as possible. I leave my themometre on my bedside table with my phone, When my allarm goes off, I grab both, temp and enter data. Fertility friend also has a lot of info on how to chart and interprate all the info.

Good luck with the charting.

Ooh and thanx for all that baby dust...
Same to you HUN
