Clearly i was wrong about Pregnacare Conception and not ovulating - my left ovary is gonna explode!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So im assuming the pinkish tinged CM is ovulation spotting and ovulation should occur today/tonight on CD18...

Watch this space... ;)

LOL Jooste, I do actually have two sexy corsets that DH loves. I should have tried that last night LOL Maybe tonight
What injections are you doing at the moment? I remember doing the FSH injections for two weeks. Hated injecting myself but I kept reminding myself of the end result :)

Giggles- I started with the pregnacare on cd1 this cycle. So far I have had no side effects. I always take it with my breakfast along with my glucophage aswell. I take one tablet a day. Don't think it's wise to take more since you can poison yourself.

I haven't yet gotten a positive OPK, but am feeling something is happening down there LOL so will see how it goes :) I personally don't see anything in pregnacare that can affect your cycle negatively. All the ingredients can do more good than harm. What I liked about the pregnacare conception is that it has inositol in it, which is the main ingredient of a product called Inofolic and if you have PCOS or ENDO, inositol is said to help you ovulate.

I found some interesting info when I was researching last night:
"First in line is a Vitamin Bcomplex that includes Vitamins B6 and B12. For Female Fertility taking Vit B6 can help increase the length of your Luteal Phase. For the males, Vitamin B12 helps with low sperm count. Recommended dosage is 50mg daily.

For women who are taking Clomid (Clomiphene Citate), it is suggested that Vitamin C increases your chances of conceiving. Be aware of the fact that large doses of Vit C can actually dry up cervical mucus, so do keep an eye on that. If you notice your mucus drying up, rather stop the Vit C. In Male Fertility it reduces sperm agglutination, which is when the sperm cells clump together and thus decreases the movement of the sperm. Vitamin C is also helpful in smokers who have abnormal sperm. Remember smoking causes toxins which decrease the sperm health and function. The Vitamin C helps to neutralize the toxic effects of smoking, hence improving sperm count, motility and viability. The recommended dosage of 200 – 1000mg has had the best effect on sperm.

Vitamin E is another powerful antioxidant for both male and female fertility. It also plays an important role in sperm production and improves the motility of sperm. The recommended dosage is 15mg daily. If you are taking aspirin or other blood thinners, please consult your doctor before taking Vitamin E.
Selenium is yet another antioxidant that can increase sperm count. Recommended dosage is 55 – 100mg daily.

Zinc helps the female body use estrogen and progesterone more efficiently. Please note it is very important that you don’t take too much Zinc. High levels of zinc can be toxic and have a negative effect on fertility. A well-balanced diet is usually enough to maintain zinc levels. If you are thinking of taking a zinc supplement, consult with your doctor so that you can be sure you receive the correct amount. For Male Fertility Zinc is important in maintaining the production of testosterone in men. This will help increase sperm count and motility. Recommended dosage 15 – 30mg daily.

Another favorite supplement is Evening Primrose Oil (EPO). But please note, EPO is used to improve your cervical mucus. The healthier and more fertile your mucus is, the better your chances are at conception, since the sperm can travel and live longer in better quality mucus. EPO should only be taken from day one of your cycle until confirmed ovulation. EPO can cause uterine contractions in pregnancy, so it’s better to switch to Flaxseed Oil after ovulation. The recommended dosage is 1500mg daily.

Once you have ovulated start taking Flaxseed Oil. Not only does Flaxseed Oil aid in treating menopausal symptoms, menstrual cramps, female infertility and endometriosis. It helps in stabilizing a woman's estrogen-progesterone ratio. It also helps in uterine function. Flaxseed can be taken from ovulation until your period’s arrival. I can’t find a recommended dosage, but the bottle does say 1200mg daily. For Male Fertility, Flaxseed Oil helps in fighting against prostate problems. It keeps sperm healthy, as well as improving the blood flow to the penis which helps against impotence.

Wheat Germ Oil has lots of zinc and selenium in it and works on the body to dilate both the fallopian tubes and the seminiferous tubules. This makes the transport of both egg and sperm easier. It also helps to increase sperm counts, motility, healthy morphology and the number of effective, fertile sperm. Three capsules or two tablespoons wheat germ oil is the usual dose per day."

Hope you ladies find it interesting ;)

Jooste, im sure the break did you and hubby good... :)

Thank you Bronz for the luck and wishes...

Giggles, im taking Pregnacare Conception in the evening after ive eaten. It's a 30 day blister back so it's 1 a day for the month... Im on CD18 today and since yesterday my CM is a dirty pinkish colour (sorry for the TMI overload  ), so i dont know if this is a side effect from the Pregnacare.. And i get nauseous from it hence the reason i take it in the evenings when im at home..

So im not sure it's working for me... No ovulation pain this month either, so im pretty sure this month is a bust... Just looking forward to the IUI in April..

Hi Ladies,

I am so busy at work, so will type quick quick...

Jooste welcome.

In my opinion I think it is possible to ovulate on CD 9. I ovulate sometimes on CD 10 with a 28 day cycle.

Questions to those taking Pregnacare Conception:

1. Are there any side effects?
2. How many do you take per day?

I am not taking or doing anything this cycle. We just gona BD when I think I am ovulating. Playing it by chance...I know

Miracle Baby Girl born via c/section on the 21 May 2010 after trying for a very long 9 years

Thank you! We are also hoping and praying hard that it will work first time around. DH and I are very positive and we believe that we will be pg this cycle! Ha ha....get some sexy nighties....your DH will be awake and ready in no time!!

Bronz
Thanks! I think CD9 is a little early to OV, but having said that....I've heard of woman who does. I usually OV around CD14 - CD16, and after tracking 39 of my cycles over the last 3 years have had 2 cycles where I OV very early (around CD11). So....you might very well be. Just BD whenever you see EWCM and continue doing so until you 2 days after your last +OPK. Then will have covered all your bases.

Had my 7th and 8th injection this morning. 12 more to go!!

Chanz: I will try the OPK next cycle if I dont get a BFP this month, just never sure when to use it. I normally watch CM and charting normally works, just taking longer this time. I thought it would be very quick as every one told me that it would be quick after a MC.

Jooste good luck with the IVF!

Hayley good luck with the IUI! One go hipefully is all that is needed!

Debbie fingers Xed for you this month!

I wanted to ask you ladies something... Is it possible to Ov on CD 9? TMI but for the last 2 cycles I have had the egg white CM then, no pains though?
