Hello,

Hubby and I have been TTC for about 18 months now with no luck. My cycle has been pretty irregular up until about 4 months ago. It is now sitting on almost exactly 5 weeks a cycle. Hopefully this means that our chance to conceive is improving.

Hopefully this is our year!!!

I fluctuate between a selfish "poor me" feeling and then in the same breath feeling desperately sorry for her. Can you imagine sitting in a queue at the clinic while wanting to vomit? So I made some calls and eventually got hold of a Sr Toua at the Department of Health, who was horrified by the story, and after an hour or so, I got a call from the Sister at the Clinic who was extremely apologetic, and promised me that my Precious would DEFINITELY be seen tomorrow, but a nurse AND a dr. I feel a little better now. Gloei - I have been hoping for a IV fluid drip for her at the clinic as I'm sure that'll make her feel better - especially in this heat we have been experiencing. I will also suggest a high protein diet. Thanks.
CJ - I was also laughing at your comment. As far fetched as what it may be - I DO lie with my legs in the air for a while. I will try ANYTHING!

Nicolette: Thank you! I have deepest sympathy with your nanny and you! I had really bad morning sickness with my first, couldn't keep anything down for weeks. Poor women having had to wait like that while feeling horrible already. I also feel for you, since I know how tough it is to do all the housework after work and weekends, not very good for the TTC relationship...The only thing that helped me in the end was the IV drips with fluids my doctor gave me at my clinic. Eating a lot of protein (eggs, meat, boiled potatoes) was all I could eat in small amounts. Hope she gets better soon! Holding thumbs for a good score on Thursday! xx

CJ: Thanks. You are one funny lady...(legs not up the wall...)

Hi there all you TTC'ers.
Sorry for my loooong silence but... My child's nanny is pregnant!! Which would not be a problem, if she was not so terribly terribly sick. She is vomiting morning noon and night. So she went to the clinic last Monday only to be told (after sitting in the queue ALL morning) that they only see pregnant woment on a Thursday. On Tuesday morning she messaged me saying she is vomitting blood, so I told her I think she must go to the hospital. So she went back to the clinic, sat there all morning, only to be told again, that she can only be seen on Thursday. So she goes on Thursday when they register her and all, but the nurse who is supposed to see them did not arrive so they must please come back on Monday. This morning she was there most of the morning, only to be told the nurse is again not there, she must come back tomorrow. She has had 8 days of sick leave this year already, and one day of compassionate leave. I don't know how long I can keep this up - I am cramming all my work in between 9 and 12 when my daughter is at school and then squeezing my admin and house keeping in at night. So I am tired and irritable, which is not making TTC any more fun!! I went for another 21 day progesterone test this morning to check that I am actually ovulating every month, and I am seeing the gynae on Thursday - FINALLY!! Hubby's semen analysis although not great, was good enough. So I will let you know what my gynae says on Thursday. Please send cyber get-well-soon wishes for my nanny.

CJ: Thank you! I had an ectopic pregnancy in my fallopian tube while having the Mirena (about 6 years ago). It was all quite traumatic as the pregnancy was not planned and it resulted in an emergency operation. Now unfortunately I am in a very high risk of having another ectopic due to tissue damage. This TTC journey is quite stressful to me since a pregnancy is not labeled as a normal healthy pregnancy, I stress quite a bit...So, that is my story.

Interesting, I hope it isn't a problem for you, did you ask your doctor about it?

Let us know when you officially start to TTC!!!!
