Carmen: I got the Inofolic from dischem for R263. So, yes with shipping it might be more. I am so glad to hear that you are saying that it helped you. I don't know how you have managed not to POAS so far!! Holding thumbs for you!!

My husband is not to keen on the clomid although we will use it if tests show that there are indeed problems(apart from having just one fellopian tube ;) . So, in the meantime I have been googling like crazy to find "natural" ways of enhancing ways of fertility.

My plan of action is as follows:

Apart from healthy lifestyle, exercise etc I am taking Staminogrow, Inofolic, Neurobion vitb, calcium&magnesium, vit C, and chewable omega 3. Also ordered the preseed (couldn't get it at dischem). Using the charts/OPK/saliva microscope.

I have been taking melotanin for the past year before bedtime and have been startled to read that it prevents ovulation. I have read quite a few articles about it and the information is contradictory, because certain articles claimed that it actually can benifit chances of conceiving and it is actually used for patients doing IUI. So...I stopped taking it about 2 weeks ago to be on the safe side of things...

CJ: Welcome and so sorry to hear about your loss. I can imagine it must be tough to know that there have been TTC problems in your family. I feel the same way, my sister has PCOS and struggled for years to fall pregnant. Despite the fact that mom managed to have 4 kids she also had very bad Endo. I also suspect that these things can be hereditary. Good luck to you!!

Welcome CJBauer - sorry for your MC.
Good luck with the weight loss.

GW - I saw it on line for R250, but that's excl shipping. It is exepensive and just adds to the costs :(
I used it the cycle we conceived Miska, over and above the meds. Used it to imrpove egg quality. if I het a BFN this cycle I will take it the next cycle.

Hello Ladies, I am a newbie so if this gets posted to the wrong place, Please forgive me.

We are going to tc in the next couple of months, just waiting for my weight to go down a bit

I had a mc 2 years ago at 6 weeks so really nervous this time round, looking for any tips to boost fertility and progesterone levels.

For 4 generations the ladies in my fam on my moms side including my mom have all had minimum of 2 mc each, so I wonder if its hereditary?

Anyway, I look forward to chatting and sharing experiences with you lovely ladies and wish you all the best in your ttc journey

Juno: Sjoe! Ja, the testing sounds quite hectic!! I am also curious about how the medication your taking is affecting your TTC. Interesting about the VitB12. I have been taking extra vitB6 &12 (Nurobion) for the past 2 weeks. The blackouts you have sounds very scary!! Do you faint??

Carmen: I bought the inofolic (expensive  ) yesterday. I have been googling what one can take to increase fertility and it seems that the inofolic was on the list.
I do have a problem with low blood sugar levels (although my sugar levels are normal)
where I get dizzy if I don't eat often enough. So, I thought it might be a good idea to give the inofolic a try. How do you take the progesterone, is it a pill or cream?

Jeesh Juno, that's interesting and scary at the same time.
Have you seen an endocrinologist? How long is the trial / research? Does it affect your TTC?

According to FF I'm 11DPO, am 10 DPiui , FS predicted O on day of IUI- I can test already, with an early detection HPT - can be used 4 days before AF is due. AF dues on Fri/Sat.
But am so scared of a negative.

Eve I feel for you..
Carmen holding fingers and thumbs for you! What day of your cycle are you on as a matter of interest? Or rather when is the earliest that one can test after ovulation?

Gloei by the way re the hormones I would actually love to do a blood test everyday of my cycle just so that for interest sake I can prove what the docs are saying that it is the hormone spikes that are causing my blackouts but it has never been suggested that I do. It would be a rather expensive exercise :(
Will also definitely be getting that saliva test if it doesn't happen this month.

Gloei how interesting! Yes I know I have abnormal spikes which sometimes cause blackouts. I've been told by everybody (neurologists/gynaes) that there is nothing they can do though. I was not however told that it could affect an OPK not that I'm surprised - when it comes to hormone imbalances I sometimes wonder at how little they know!

I'm actually involved in a general wellness genetic testing programme that amongst other tests, test to see how well your body absorbs medication - amongst others folic acid. I'm on rather a hectic combination of meds. Not everybody can actually absorb folic acid and I'm rather paranoid as the birth defect of my D&C could have been because of a lack of folic acid. A psychiatrist is actually the interface between Stellies (they're doing it) and the patient and she told me that Intrinisi B12 Folate is one of the very few products in SA whose absorption levels have been properly tested. I am not one to trust every word any doc says but just for info.
