11 years 5 months ago #260285 by Nunukie
Hi

Jay-Bee. I used to be on Fertomid 50mg, but it did not work for me. FS then put me on 100mg....did work a bit, but I did not get my BFP.
I then went on Fertomid 100mg with Gonal F and then my follies boosted and I got my BFP....I did have a mc after that, but atleast I know now that the combination of the 2 REALLY boosted by follies....

Hi Ladies

I posted a couple of times on this thread earlier but wondering if any of you still using Fertomid? If not did you get your BFP on the pills and if so what dosage and cycle?

Last month was my first cycle of Fertomid 50mg and a Progesterone test came back that I was still not ovulating. I am now in my tww after my second round of Fertomid 50mg and have the Progesterone test on Monday. If I don't ovulate this cycle my Gyna will up the dose to 100mg.

Before I started the pills I had a u/s done on CD13 and only had one minute follicle. I am really hoping that the pills will help me to produce follicles and mature healthy eggs :(

Are any of you in the same boat or gotten a BFP similar to my story? So desperately need encouragement.

* TTC baby #1 for 1.5 years
(tried naturally for 1 year - anovulatory cycles)
(medicated Fertomid cycles for 5 months)
BFP - 1 Sept 2015 - un medicated cycle
TTC baby #2 - October 2017

Hi Cynthia

Sorry to hear that you're having such a stressful time. Will keep you in my prayers. :heart: As someone said to me recently, just stay on your knees and trust God that everything will work out the way it should.

Unfortunately this cycle won't be the one for me, but I trust that things will go better next month. The Gonal-F injections, dispite being an average dose, was too strong for me. On yesterday's scan (CD11) we probably saw 10 follicles (which would have been great if we could afford IVF), but we can only do IUI when there are 2 or 3. So at least something is working - we just need to get the dosage right.

Keep us posted on how you are doing. Shout if you need some moral support during the next 2 weeks.
