question-circle First Fertomid Cycle, New Here

11 years 11 months ago #253489 by TCS84
hahahahah Gallant soldiers hahahahhah!

The leaflet says ovulation will occur 6-12 days after the last pill..
i think i will start at 4 days after to be safe... just in case. this is my first cycle so i have no idea what to expect. i dont know whether to just get those ovulation kits and use them as well as start BD 4 days after... I dont track basal body so pointless starting now...

My gynae told me that he will start me on low dose so as to not get more than 1 egg released and increase the chances of twins etc. so it does happen and i have read stories about it...
im starting on 100mg which i thought was a bit high. usually ladies start at 50? oh well he obv thinks i need he high dose...

OOOO!!!!!
Holding thumbs for you too!!!!

I'm drinking last pill tonight and BD tonight too. I just realized, my calculations were wrong in previous post. Today is CD10 and we're going for it tonight.

I don't know when you should start BD. Really, I can't say but I'd rather have gallant soldiers waiting in anticipation for the queen to arrive than have the queen arrive to an empty house. Also going to follow Cynthia's advice and keep on BD until day CD18 or 20 or so. Just to make sure that if I ovulate late, we're still covered.

SO hoping and praying and keeping a positive attitude that this coming year is an excellent year for us Moomie TTC ladies.

Let's fill the baby bus!!

I also heard and read that by using fertomid / clomid and other such pills increases the chance of multiples (twins, triplets etc) I say bring it on! What do you guys think?

Hey Cynthia

I've been SO busy at work, it's unbelievable! Hence my absence for the last couple of days. Other than that, all is good.
This might sound weird / stupid / like wishful thinking (take your pick out of those ones and feel free to add any as well) but I SWEAR I feel different this month.
My right fallopian tube is blocked (had an hsg procedure that proved it) so I've been ovulating on the left side since I can remember. It's every month the sharp pang on the left hand side which lets me know that I've ovulated and now, since I started taking the fertomid 50mg, I've had this dull discomfort on the left side. Nothing painful or anything like that but it feels different to other months.
Tonight, it's BD for hubby and I (CD8) and then again CD10, 12, 14 etc. Have gynae appointment again on Monday to see if there are eggs and if they are big enough. If they are, then she's going to give me a trigger shot to make me release the egg / eggs.

So, holding thumbs, crossing fingers and toes.

How have you been? Still so stoked for you!!!
And everyone else? How are things?
