@Anzel.. sending you loads of hugs. Totally understandable why you feel this way. But i agree with Morgan and hubby, dont give up. If anything maybe stop consciously trying and just let the body do its own thing, dont go back on the pill. I still think you stand a good chance thouhg, we just need to give it a bit more time hun.. Hang in there dear...**hugs*

Hi, girls

I need a big hug today! Really.

On Friday, my parents from PE paid us an unexpected visit for the weekend, which came as a huge shock and supprise! It was such as nice surprise, except for their timing - They arrived on CD 12, right in the middle of my most fruitful period...

More so, yesterday late afternoon, my best friend informed me that she was pregnant via bbm. I did not take that one well. I had a complete meltdown and bawled my eyes out. Life is so unfair. She already has twin boys, and all I'm asking for is one baby. And now she's getting another. Don't get me wrong, I am happy and excited for her, but I feel a bit neglected. When is my turn then? When am I gonna get a chance to be a mommy?

So I am really depressed... Contemplating going back on the pill and giving up on this whole thing. Hubby doesn't want me to, though. He says our turn will come, but I don't want to hear it. I am dissapointed and hurt and so tired of getting a "NO!"

So AF showed Friday night.... bitch! So CD 4 for me today. But its fine, not really upset cause I knew our chances were slim for that cycle. I will be seeing my gynae next week Wednesday, cant wait then at least we will get closer to finding answers.

@Lauz - That is sure a faint positive, I would say congrats girl!!!!!! H&H 9 months!!!

@Meisiekind - Wow sounds like you have had quiet a journey so far. Best of luck to you girl, hope you get your bfp soon!!

Apologies for not chatting more regularly, but there just isn't enough time in 1 day. Hopefully things will quiet down over the next couple of weeks.

Allow me to jump right in and comment on the last post.

@Lauz, welcome! I would be really surprised if you've had 2 tests like this one and its not positive. A feint line is still positive as far as I'm aware. Perhaps just try 1 more time with a different brand (and do it first thing in the morning if you haven't done so already). In fact, if it was me I'd rush over to Pathcare to have a blood test done right away (and I know of at least a couple of ladies that would have done the same thing). Keep us updated!

Also, welcome to the other new ladies - Mrstl, Inca, Chanti, Sino (if I missed anyone, sorry).

@Morgan, thinking of you in the tww. Just one more week to go!

@Babydreaming, holding thumbs that your symptoms are indeed early signs of pregnancy. Sounds promising...

@Jay-Bee01, glad to hear that hubby's visit at the urologist went well.

@Fairychild, you have my sympathy with having an unemployed hubby. Also went through it a couple of years ago and it was actually quite a long time for us. Hoping that something will turn up soon for him.

@AnzelMama12, sorry to hear about the tooth ache, but glad to hear its going better now. Maybe this month will still surprise you...

AFM, I had my 6 week post-op check up this past week. FS says the good news is that there weren't any major issues, however the not so good news is that it therefore doesn't quite explain why we've been unsuccessful all this time. He did make some 'minor' changes though, which he described in more detail this time (and showed videos).

Apart from the endometriosis he removed, it turns out the improvement to the structure of the one tube was the removal of a small dangling cyst which could have hindered the tube when picking up the egg. Also, my intestines were in some parts attached to the 1 tube, so he fixed that too (possibly due to a bad stomach infection as a child). Despite all this, he seems to think that it didn't play a major part in our unsuccessful attempts at TTC.

So now we have the all clear to continue TTC, however his advise was that IUI should be the next step. Its still up to us to decide. He said its still very possible that we can conceive without the IUI, but it could take years given our history. Hence his recommendation. I'm ready to go ahead and do it, but hubby seems to think that we're not there yet. Hoping that I can convince him otherwise as I really don't feel like waiting any longer.

Btw, I'm on CD67 today (yes, thats not a typo). My temp chart indicates that I that the big O was last week Wednesday (CD57) and based on my scan this week, FS agrees that it seems to be the case. Unfortunately hubby was out of the country for more than a week, so wasn't possible to make use of this opportunity. So once AF starts towards the end of next week, I'll start with Fertomid again (to have a proper cycle again) and either do homeplan or IUI this upcoming cycle.

Been reading through the thread and firstly would like to wish you all the best of luck in this amazing venture, holding thumbs for all of you!

I too am trying to conceive this year for baby no 2. Ive been following my cycle since mid last year as im irregular, starting using an app to track my ovulation beginning of the year. We decided to start last month so as to not have another October baby, and we were on holiday so what better way to start off all relaxed

Im three days late although hubby is absolutely positive im pregnant im not too sure I am. Have had all my usual monthly symptoms, excepting the mood swings and headaches, and have had no usual early pregnancy symptoms.

Took two early pregnancy tests beginning of the week both came up negative.
Took a normal pregnancy test yesterday thought I saw a faint line but took it as negative as I believe its my mind playing tricks on me hoping I am. I have taken another one today and now I dont know - another faint line and so I thought id ask for help from all the trusted moomie moms.

What do you all think yay or nay?



Im just so overthinking it all as everyone has warned me how difficult it is to fall pregnant the second time and thats been my outlook not to have high expectations. So would really appreciate your thoughts!

@ Inca - I know from what the other ladies have posted that it takes a while for your body to get all the effects of the pill out of your system so, it is a good time to go off it now.

@ Jaybee - Regarding the ultra sound, it's done internally. It doesn't hurt, just a bit - uncomfortable. The cost by my gynae is approx. R760.00 The medical aid usually pays for her consultation (R350) but the other R410 is out of pocket.

@ Chanti - welcome and hope you enjoy the forum. May is just around the corner!!
