@Babydreaming, to be honest with you this is my second month TTCing, maybe its the reason i am so obsessed because i never knew about all these things. I promise you only in Jan did i learn that we actually ovulate, that there is CP,CM, Clomid you name it. All along i thought that any day after AF you can fall preggers LOL i feel so stupid typing this. So yaa i dont even know if i had ewcm before and when..LOL. So yaa i think i am still gonna get helluva BFN's whilst trying to figure my body out. with my first baba, we just decided to have one and bd'ed the month away..LOL. Thanks for the forum, will check it out.

I also asked my gynae when I saw her on the 3rd that if there's 2 eggs, can we proceed with IUI? She said yes. I then said, that's awesome because twins runs in the family and I would LOVE ME SOME TWIN BOYS!! Twin girls too! Honestly, boys or girls, doesn't matter to me. Just want them to be healthy.

Not on fertomid this cycle though. Was on it and it did work for me but ai ja. The swimmers and the egg didn't meet or if they met, they didn't make it to the womb on time. Or it was a hostile environment.

Have you ladies noticed that conceiving is, in my honest opinion, such a freaking miracle? At the rate some of us are going, it's a wonder that the human species has made it into the 21st century! Then, you get teenagers who get pregnant after a one night stand. That, to me, is a miracle because SERIOUSLY??!!


Ladies, those on here not sure of why they're not conceiving, seriously, hear by your dr or gynae or whoever if you can't test to see if the fallopian tubes are open. Believe me, I know the frustration of having f#cked fallopian tubes. Rather have the HSG test than ttc for months on end only to discover later that it's the tubes.

OK, OK, OK.

Enough with the lecture.

I took Femara back in 2012 to induce ovulation since I didn't get my period then, mine was only once a day . The double dose might be because you are going for a IUI to make you release multiple eggs for fertilizing.
The Femara might be covered by the med aid because it is usually given to women with PCOS and is considered as a "medical condition"
Its a good thing since its so expensive

Hope your Gynae calls you back

Oh and another thing I've read that Femara and IUI have a very high success rate
And since you are taking Femara and Fertomid i'm guessing your chances will be doubled

Good Afternoon Ladies!!

WOW!! That's all I can say! Been so busy on here today!! I have so much catching up to do...

I swear, I'll post later (not that I have any answers ) I just have to get off this mad roller coaster that is work at the moment. Was seriously thinking of taking tomorrow off but I don't want to waste my leave days. Want to use them for IUI and other dr appointments etc.

OK, so, I went to bu the pills that my gynae prescribed, femara 2.5mg Got 10 of them and was told by chemist to take them once in the morning and once at night. Uh, is this right? I called my gynae but 'she's not available this afternoon' and I will be called back tomorrow. I'm hoping she does but in the meantime, I feel totally unnerved. I thought they were like the fertomid, once a day?

Oh!! Another thing ladies, when I bought the fertomid, I had to pay out of my pocket because the medical aid doesn't pay for it. It was only R60 for 5 pills so I didn't mind at all.

Now, I went to get 10 Femara tablets and when I saw the price, I was shocked! R365 for 10!! The weirdest thing is, these are covered by the medical aid...

Has anyone used femara before and also 2.5mg twice a day?
