HI, ladies
How have you been?
Hubby and I had a date night last night - I prepared three course candle lit dinner with soft music and sparkling wine. Just wanted an opportunity to talk things out without anybody having to rush anywhere. So we talked things out. Seems like hubby's view on children is influenced by his fear that he will not be able to provide for the child and me financially. He feels that having children will put pressure on us financially and it is driving him nuts. He has decided, however, to give it until the end of the year. If nothing has happened by then, then we will let it go. So that means I won't go on contraception yet.
Quick question - If my body didn't respond to 100mg clomid (I'm on CD 14 today and still no +OPK - I usually get a positive OPK round about day 12/13, still nothing. Does this mean that I should ask the doc to increase my dosage? Your views?
Hubby brought be flowers last night! And he booked us into a fancy guesthouse for the weekend. Something to look forward to, especially the alone time together. Think we need it.
@Jooste! Whohoooo! Please let us know what the bood results say! I'm so excited for you!
@P4M - So sorry that you have to go through this. We are here for you. Like sisters.
@Chanti - Please keep us posted as to your blood test results! Holding thumbs!

We have considered IVF, however, the cost implication is making hubby nervous. As I have an obsession with babies, he has an obsession with being financially secure. He would rather use that money to improve something about our home, than spend it on a procedure with very little guarantees. He would, however, consider IUI. It's not that expensive. We have decided that if nothing happens by December, we will try an IUI cycle, and then see what happens.

He can be very difficult sometimes, being German. He is stubborn and narrowminded, keeps on focusing on the current situation without looking at the bigger picture. I love him to bits, although I am not blind to his mistakes. I, on the other hand, is an optimist by nature, and it drives him absolutely nuts. LOL!
@EMJ - I was on the low carb diet and then the egg diet. I try and avoid sugary foods and carbs where I can, but still eat fruits and yogurts and that type of stuff. If you want to, pop me a PM with your email address, and I'll share the diet with you. It really works, hey. And you'll see results soon! Good luck to you! It's really hard, but it's worth it.
@Sugar - Excited that you are also now part of the game. Enjoy! And good luck! May you get your bfp soon!
@Nikita - How are you doing? Holding thumbs for this cycle!!
