Good morning lovely ladies, I hope that you are all doing well and that your Tuesday is going to be a wonderful day! Looking outside today, the heatwave in Jhb seems to be coming to an end and the rain clouds are thick and heavy so I am praying for some much needed rain!
@Chanti, those follicle sizes and numbers etc all look great to me! Like you say, you are taking it all a day at a time and trusting in the Lord... Honestly I believe this is all that any of us can do! I believe I am the worlds most impatient person in the world and feeling like I have NO control over things, especially my own body, my eggs, the sperm via the IUI, this is all very frustrating to me... and worst of all... This 2ww! I honestly think this is going to be the death of me! Hahahaha...... but like my hubby keeps telling me, the day that BFP is there and it sticks, ALL of this, all the tears, the injections, the hormones, the dr's appointments and scans will be more than worth it! God Bless you and your family!!!
@Nicola... My heart hurts reading your post. Dr's that are so uncaring and bad mannered are the absolute worst. I once lost it with my previous gynae and shouted at him in the waiting room in front of a jam packed room, telling him to stop seeing me as a simple credit in his bank account! YES I don't understand all the terms he uses, YES I am going to ask stupid questions and make you repeat things a million times, YES I am going to cry in your office and maybe make you feel uncomfortable, but I am your patient, and all of this is very new to me! I didn't study like you did. I don't treat 20+ people going through similar journeys a day like you do. Perhaps you have had to say the same sentence to 20 different couples all in one day, but just respect me enough to treat me like a human, who is scared, unsure and looking at you for the answers, not to hurt my heart even more.... Needless to say, I never showed my face there again! Best of luck and bless you! Please keep us updated with your progress
@Jooste.... I just wanna give you a massive hug! Your positivity is admirable
AFM.... Okay if I am starting to understand this "lingo" correctly... If I had my IUI on Thursday 27 Oct, then I can basically say I am 5dpo? Would that be a correct assumption?
So a year ago before things went so horribly wrong and I was sitting at this same point, I decided to test out my HCG trigger shot. MY FS sends his patients for their first blood test, 12 days after the IUI, and if I recall correctly I did 5 tests prior to my beta. I got a +HPT on 8dpo, +HPT on 9dpo, a -HPT 10dpo, a -HPT on 11dpo and then finally a +HPT again on 12dpo (confirmed by my blood work), so that meant the HCG had metabolised 10dpo? Should I test it all out again, or just somehow contain myself and wait until 8 Nov? This is SO frustrating! I am he absolute worst!
