Good morning all

I really so hope that I am in the right place and "joining" the correct Thread.
Please excuse that I am new to Forums and still trying to understand a vast majority of the abbreviations.
Thought I would explain my story and why I am here now. So feel free to skip ahead if its too much to read

Last year this time I finally got my first BFP. It was our first try with IUI after 1.5 years of hormones and OPK's and zero success. I have PCOS and have no period (which ultimately means no Ovulating) without actually taking hormones to kick start things.
Anyway, at 6 weeks we saw our little miracle's heart beating and were over the moon! Did an entire Christmas announcement to our parents, etc. At 10 weeks we went in for a scan, only to find out that I had miscarried. After my D&C the dr informed us that we had a "Partial Molar Pregnancy"... basically 2 sperms entered and fertilised my egg, so instead of 26 sets of chromosomes, there were 39 sets present. The baby started to develop as normal, but the placenta developed into hundreds of little pieces instead of one large mass, leading to the baby starving and my miscarriage. As anyone can imagine, that in itself is one of the most difficult things to have to live through. 4 weeks after my D&C I had to have the routine HCG testing to ensure that my levels were back down to 0 before we could start TTCing again. We then found that my HCG levels were showing that I was 6+ weeks pregnant still. SO basically one of the pieces of Placenta had buried itself into my uterus lining and was continuing to grow. LONG story short, I ended up having to do 6 weeks of Chemotherapy in order to "kill" the growing cells. Thereafter we started the 6 month wait, where I had to go for HCG tests every 2 weeks to ensure that my levels remained at 0 throughout.
So that brings me now to where we currently are! We have been given the green light ot FINALLY start TTCing again and thankfully I am sitting on CD8 today! Going on Friday morning for my FS to measure my eggs and if all looks good, we will possibly do the IUI on Tuesday.
Trying to stay as positive as possible and realistic as possible, although it is difficult! At times the demons from the past filter through and I end up an emotional wreck and at other times, I start prematurely planning and getting excited for things that may take a good few months to come to pass, but I suppose that is just simply being human, right?
So for now..... I am on CD8, counting down until I go to measure my eggs and take things from there!
Loads of baby dust to all and I look forward to navigating your journeys with you!
