I think it's like menopur if I'm not mistaken. It's a follicle stimulant, I did a combo of femara 2.5 mg and Clomid 50 mg last cycle and had 1 follicle so fx this time I have more

@Ayesha hahah glad it made someone laugh hahah!!! So what meds are you doing for your next IUI? Interested to know what other specialists give their patients. My first IUI was 5x days Fertomid and 3x Menopur injections on CD3,5,8 - I only got 1x follicle from that. So I think this time they are only prescribing 5x Femara, although I am waiting for him to confirm. We will also do daily progesterone tests. Interested to find out more though! Wishing you the best of luck my friend xxx

Hi ladies,

@maybeebaby I'm so sorry, fx now that you have your results you will find the way forward and get your bfp

@mamak congrats hun...happy and healthy 9 months. Reading your story gives me hope that we only need one try. I am so happy for you

@Nicola I laughed so much reading your message. Acupuncture really brought back your mojo hey. But I am with you on that, this month is the 1st in a really long time where BD is actually fun and spontaneous.

AFM got my meds for the new cycle, really had a tough time getting gonal f but finally dischem managed to order it for me and they really did it so fast after getting my script and they were a whole 300 cheaper then the fertility clinic. 6 days till AF and I honestly can't wait. I'm being so positive it's scaring hubby. Just can't wait any longer and the plus side I'm probably gonna be too busy planning my bro in laws 21st that I won't even have time to symptom spot during the TWW.

Morning ladies from a freezing cold CPT!

@MamaK OMG!!!! that is the best news!!!!! This has made my day and my week so far!! gosh we really needed some good news on this forum of ours!! I am SO happy for you friend....and wowzers...only 1x BD!!! It just goes to show hey! One is all we need hahah!!! Well I am very very happy for you and your news i'm sure will give us all another ray of hope! Congrats, please keep us posted on your beta test!! Sending big hugs xxxx

@Maybebaby gosh that is annoying. Shame well I am glad you got the earliest date and hopefully the time flies! In the meantime BD as often as you can during fertile week, keep the legs up, take your folic acid & multivitamin, . eat lots of fertility booting foods especially the ones for egg qualityCould you current gynae maybe give you Fertomid to try for a few cycles, or would the specialist give this to you? I've only ever been with a specialist so i'm not too sure how far the gynae's go here but if you haven't tried Clomid or Fertomid then give it a go?

AFM...CD14. BD, legs up...same old same old hahaha!!! Bd is definitely more fun in this household lately, not sure if its just my mindset or if its the acupuncture or Winter hahah but this morning hubby was up at 4am (work...stress etc) and i went back to sleep....heard him coming up the stairs this morning around 7am next thing he runs in the room giggling and naked and jumps into bed!!! hahahah made for a fun morning mid cycle hahahha!!! Prepping for next IUI have to pick up meds etc but think i'll rather wait until end of this cycle incase AF doesn't come! Feeling super positive and happy and just praying we don't even have to go through with the IUI!!

How are you all doing? xxxx

Hello Ladies,

I haven't been on in about 3 weeks, and that was because I had written out this cycle as I was travelling during my fertile window.

@Maybebaby I am so terribly sorry to hear about what happened, I am glad you are at a place where you know and can look into finding solutions. Strength to you.

AFM: So as I said earlier I had written off this cycle because I was in Maseru with around the time I ovulated, or so I though. DH and I literally BD'd once on the 16th of June. AF was due on the 1st of July and when it didn't happen I blamed it on stress as being away from home had been wearing me down. Anyway long story short I GOT MY BFP this morning! Like how crazy?

I am happy it is what I prayed from for my 30th birthday which is on the 12th July, but WOW! You guys are literally the 1st people to know besides my husband, mind you I am in Maseru this week and returning to Johannesburg only tomorrow. I am starting a new job on the 1st of August, I'm just going through the emotions, so much happening, but I'm reminding myself that this is God's plan for my life, whatever is meant to be will be.

It is however with mixed emotions breaking these news to you guys, as my heart still bleeds for you ladies. I have no doubt in my head that you will all be ok, but yeah still does not make it easy.

Next step for me is to call up my gynae and let him know. He'll probably send me to do bloods to confirm and check how far I am.

Whooow what a morning I'm having.
