Guys Im so sad for hubby, he went today to register for his Civil engineering so he can start this simester. Now it turns out that the lady gave him the wrong info and that he cannot register as a senior student but as a first year, and the waiting list is a 1000 long! Now he has to first finish his last 3 Mechanical subjects but the application date for that is already passed. Theyll try and squeeze him in but he is very down. This puts him back about a year in study time Pls pray for us that they fit him in so he can atleast do those 3 subjects this year!!

Firefly I had 2 big bleeds now in this pregnancy. One at 6 weeks and another just before 8 weeks. The blood was coming from next to the sac at the top where the placenta was forming. But I saw 2 gynae's and they both said it won't affect the pregnancy at all. Baby is obviously fine as i'm 15 weeks tomorrow. And the blood was eventually absorbed by my body. Hope the same happens to your SIL.

Lucy, it forces hormones to release your eggs for ovulation, so yes you will probably feel more CM, but I think its more cos of ovulation in the pipeline.

I'll be holding thumbs for your friend too, I was telling another friend that I would do the treatment for someone else so they wouldn't have to do it, even if it were my enemy. Its ok, an emotional process, landed up being all worth it for me, so I really admire the girls who can do it again and again.

Lol, it's not me that is the soccer nut, it's dh! So I go for his benefit, and a lot of the time we've taken my two younger brothers with us. I must say, if it was just me, I might have gone to maybe one or two games, but certainly not the eight that I've been to!

I must say, the Durban stadium is gorgeous!

Lucy, Durbs was so warm, I'm also jealous that you get that warm weather - though I don't like KZN rain!

Ladies, remember my younger SIL who was preggies? They found out she was preggies just before the world cup and she and my BIL then went to about 4 soccer matches in the first week of the world cup, after which her GP banned her from soccer matches because she was cramping and GP was concerned about the size of the baby.

Her gynae was happy with the size of the foetus but just last week on their drive back from Durban (she came with us on Tues, came to the match on Wed and then drove back to Jhb on Thurs), at about 8 weeks, she started bleeding heavily and apparently there is a blood clot next to the placenta. Gynae did a scan and said baby looked fine but has put her on bed rest for 3 days and said to come see her if bleeding hasn't stopped.

Has anyone heard of a blood clot on the placenta? Is it harmless or is it a problem? SIL seems to be okay and we're hoping the baba will be fine.

Wow Emsmom, thats great.. sorry it didnt work out but now you can have your own baby I just love women who do surrogacy! I would even do it myself when Im done with my own kiddies.. dont know if hubby will go through me being pregnant if he cant get rewarded with another child hehe
