Jissie Ilse, you've got me thinking now... Maybe I'm confusing the Metformin dosage with the Fertomid dosage now? I don't know, will have to go check when I get home. But again, I take mine in the morning and haven't had side effects to speak off.

Simone, how many tablets do you take? And do you use the actual Metformin or the generic Bigsens? I get the Bigsens from my pharmacist. Maybe that's why I have less side-effects?

Simone - I don't think your dose is too high for treatment of PCOS. Try and avoid sugar and cut back on refined starches, it will help with the tummy problems. And don't drink it on an empty tummy.

Andy - are you sure yours is not maybe 500mg per day? 50 sounds a bit low.

Thanks girls...I have no idea what is happening with my body. DH called just now and asked how my day is going, I couldnt talk to him as I had burst into tears. This is too hard. Not sure if it is AF as no more bleeding (but then again I havent been to the loo again) so I will take it as "heavy" spotting?
