heart TTC 2012 Group Year of the ball, Year of the bump

14 years 2 months ago #226916 by Snoekie
Hi Zaiya,
Dh and I were TTC for more than a year when my brother suddenly announced they are pregnant. They had been trying for about 3 months. Lickily my mum broke the news to me before my brother got hold of me. I burst into tears, My mother emediatly asked me what's wrong, and this is the discussion that followed:

Don't think that I am Not happy for them, because I am. I wouldn't want anyone to walk the road I am walking. My sadness has NOTHING to do with other people's joy. My sadness is always there and would be there regardless. I am sad because I want to have a baby really badly, and has nothing to do with resentment.

My mother also started crying, and ensured me that she would never think that I am not happy for my brother, But that I should really try not to cry when congratulating them, as it may hurt them. I kept a straight face and smile while talking to them, BUT that night I bawlled my eyes out. And I cried everytime I heard someone is pregnant. And now that I am pregnant after two years of TTC, I STILL cry when I hear someone is pregnant, because it is such an emotional event and amazing miricle, and knowing someones journey and longing is coming to an end makes me emotional.
I also have to say someone else told me: "Remember, it's not a competition." I was not happy with that statement.

@Zaiya sorry about this drama, i prefer not to discuss my personal issues with family, i prefer strangers who understand where i am coming from. It it doesn't happen this month i won't to wrry about someone asking if af arrived or not. Maybe your mum is right about one thing thou moving out. That way you will be stress free, you won't have to hear the negative things, stress can also decrease your chances of falling preggies.

Work is so hectic at the moment i hardly have time to breathe, but it will be over soon

Been ttcing since May 2011

Hi ladies!

MW2B - Congrats! am glad you got your BFP! Hope you have a healthy pregnancy, and that all is well with baby!

Strikkie - Wishing youeverything of the best! I hope everything goes well!

Tracy - Hi! How's the new car?

Hayley - Hi darling, how are you doing? Where are you now?

To all the pregnant ladies - How are you guys doing?

Zai - My  goes out to you. I really am sorry for the situation! Hope you get your BFP soon!

Lalie - Welcome! Good luck with this cycle!

AFM - I also read up on Gonal F lol - will be asking about it as well
Clomid didn't lengthen my cycle, but I took it from CD3 - CD7. Apparently if you take it from CD5 it may lengthen cycle. probably depends on each person.
I had a break month in July, so am back on Provera to bring on AF so I can start Clomid again (2nd Cycle)
I must admit I was emotional wreck after getting AF on the !st clomid cycle.
But, am getting back on the wagon, and hoping for positive next time around.

Hi Zai.

Is this your second month on Fertomid/Clomid?
I am finishing my 2nd cycle 100mg tomorrow.. And then i start testing with OPK's!!

Regarding the cycle and fertomid Question.. My cycle stayed the same on Fertomid/Clomid.

Hope you feel better!

Hello Ladies

hey cols, read up oin the gonal pen, definitely going to ask my doc about them in our next visit.. although i pray that this month of clomid works for me..
fx for you.. n happy BD'n ;)

Jay, i googled SMEP too.. sounds interesting, if we weren't fasting this month i would hav tried it..

i need to vent...
so i'm apologising in advance..

k.. so here it goes..

my 22 yr old sil has been ttc from sept last yr..
i have been on clomid from april, took a break in June, n she did her 1st round in June
yest, she tells my mum that she thinks shes pregnant..
i dnt think i'm supposed to know yet, cos mum whispered it to me saying that the sil told her and i should keep it hushed...
i thought i was fine with it..
then we broke our fast @ 5ish.. n i was ok until i went to pray n burst out into tears..
anyways, hubs called me to eat.. n i came to the kitchen all pink eyed and blotchy faced.. then half way through the meal i choked n burst out crying..
thank god the sil had already left the table...
anyways, u'd think my mum would be understanding...
we had this whole long nasty convo on bbm
also remember my hubs is not earning atm as hes currently out of a jib so the emotional stress is just piling on..
mum was the 1 who was u should move from pmb, u'll have a better life in durban..
now she says maybe hubs n i should go back to pmb..
then she says she didnt expect this behaviour (breaking down into tears) from me, and says she feels my pain.. and "yes she wanted THAT baby in the first year of me trying, and she also had to adjust that shes not becoming a granny and she has been waiting with me"
:swear: :swear: :swear:
wth.. does that mean that now that immature, cant look after herself properly, dil is pregnant i'm like a piece of trash n should go back to pmb..
then she went on bout how people will say i'm jealous..
n she cant understand y i'm upset with the sil..
I'm NOT upset with her.. I'm upset with life being so damn UNFAIR..
then she says i must be fair on the sil..
some1 tel this woman i dont giv a cow bout the sil.. its me i giv a cow about..
anyways i ended off telling my mother not to be blinded by just wanting to be a granny..
cos seriously she doesnt like the sil either.. she just wants the kid..
i'm so hurt..
:headbang:
 :swear:

sorry again.. i just needed to get that off my head..

now got to stick a fake ass smile on my face n walk into the kitchen with mum and sil and make like i'm the happiest woman on earth..
