cols, it is definitely recommended to use a digital thermometer preferably with 2 decimal places. You can get a Pigeon one from BabyCity, I think they are like R50 or you can order one online www.getpregnant.co.za

When you take your temp, do it first thing as you wake up so keep your thermometer on your bedside table. Make sure you have been asleep for at least 2 hours as well and it is recommended that you take your temp at the same time each morning.

Oh and just because I have been asked millions of times, I took mine under my tongue :)

Good luck !!!

Hi Ladies

Andy I am so sorry you are feeling disheartend. I dont have the answers hun. I thought taking a break would help but it didnt. I am just getting more pressure. So now I am charting, testing, etc etc... Lets see. Has your gynae scanned to see if you have endometriosis or I had a wierd little growth in the wall of my uterus that actually caused wierd spotting off cycle so it felt like I was having 2-3 week periods. It drove me mad. I had a laparoscopy last November for PCOS, the growth & endometriosis.

Hayley, how are you hun? You're on my mind. How're things going with you and DH? ttc seems to be affecting alot of marriages. I feel very detached at the moment. Guess too much going on. Going to join DH in pe for a few days of his study trip. Then home for a while without him. He gets back, goes on a bike rally and then off to India for work. I think sometimes we just need a break from them. :)

Tracy, Im glad your infection's clear. You are so right about "taking a break"...

I had a +ve OPK today. Decided to spring for the clear blue digital teast because I thought maybe I was imagining them with the other ones or maybe they were too sensitive. I have a question though - How do you guys do your temps? I read I shouldnt use an ear thermometer on 1 site. I dont see BBT thermometers at the pharmacy. Do you just use a normal digital thermometer, where do you put it? We're putting serious BDing effort in. I feel wierd doing it on "schedule" Because now I tell DH where I am in my cycle etc. Before I just kept quiet. He is very anxious for another LO. 16 June will be 1 year since I officially stopped BC.

BABYDUST TO YOU ALL!!!!

Andy, I totally have to agree with Tracy. You and I have been on this horrible road of early spotting for forever, I feel your pain and know exactly what you are feeling. As Tracy also said the difference with me the month I conceived was Pregnacare Conception and every time we BD'ed we finished doggy style  and even with this pregnancy I spotted from 7dpo to about 10dpo and then spotted the week I was meant to have my AF. Remember I also spotted with C. Surprisingly the pregnancy that I MC'ed I didnt spot at all. So who freaking knows what is up with our bodies. How was your spotting again when you were using your progesterone suppositories?

Morning ladies.

Welcome back to all - heehee, been a black hole here for a few days!

Andy : Ag my friend, only you have the answer to that I'm afraid. In all honestly, none of us EVER "take a break" like we say we are unless we go onto birth control. Because honestly, we all have ours AF's still,e ovulate still, we BD during the fertile time still, and then we pretend not to be thinking about it until the day AF arrives (or doesn't)....we lie to ourselves. So yes, we may take a break in the sense we stop temping, stop any fancy vitamins we may have been taking etc, but we NEVER take a break.
So now with you, I'm still at a loss for words....I just can't believe you are still having this spotting problem HOW far down the road. BUT, then again, so did KLK. She spotted early like you every single month. And what happens.....BFP out the blue. She did very little different, except for taking the Pregnacare Conception. So as much as you are down and hurting, she was so similar to you, got her BFP, and I really feel you will too. But no one can tell you when.
The only other thing to do is put on your big girl panties, put your all into it one "final" time, find a good FS and tackle this from a new perspective with all guns blazing.
Or, you can do what you doing, take maybe the Pregnacare Conception (not sure if you have yet or not), and see if that doesn't help you like it did KLK.
I feel your pain, I really do. The few of us that have been on this road for so long all do. There HAS to be a reason for this spotting, and the fact not even progesterone suppliments stopped it blows my mind.
I WISH I could make this all go away for you. You SO deserve your baby.

Hayley : Glad you enjoying your new place. Take it you have decided to work on the marriage? How's it going?

Strikkie : Hugs to you too friend - seems all of us "long time triers" are all hitting some major snags one way or another...

Wannabmummy : Woohooooo on starting your Clomid....hope it brings your BFP!

Hi all the other ladies!!

AFM : Sorry, work has been hectic....normal story. Infection all cleared up thatnk goodness.....now to just hope it stays away dam it...so tired of all this now.
At least it's FRIDAY!!!!!!

Hi there

Oh Andy, is wish there was a magic wand that can give us the beig thing we wanted te most. And yes we say we give it a break but still i am thinking about it, but i really try not to get obsessed with it. Me and dh are still not really talking about the ttc issue because i'm still hurt. All i can say is i am thinking of you and give you a BIG CYBERHUG!! I know exactly what you're talking about. After all these years to just forget about cd's and cm and aches and spotting i cant forget about it so easily. (sigh)

Hayley, seems we are in the same boat, good luck, and thinking about you too. Congrats on the furbabies, i'm crazy about anything that is small. And that puppy-doggiesmell is sooooooooooooo nice. I just love it..
Momtoc, glad everything is ok with you.

WBM_ shame good luck with the pains and GL with this cycle, hope it brings your bfp!!

Tracy, how are you? So quiet?? Is the infections and pains ok now?

Cols, hi and welcome back ;)
