Nice to see some activity here again!

Andy - nice to see your spirits have picked up a little bit. I've also read up on Tygerberg's fertility clinic, and to be honest I have also only heard good things! SAme goes for the Groote Schuur unit! I think we have it set in our minds public hospitals are all yucky, and vile, but they're not too shabby, if they have all this souped up clinics now are they?

If this is the way forward, like Joybaby says, give it your best! this may or may not be the last try, but make it worth it! Enjoy the journey, and look forward with new hope, and maybe a BFP will pop up!

Seems like the doggy style works wonders, I mean there have been a few conceptions doing it on all fours! What the heck, if it works.... Woof woof

Momtoc - bean is looking good! Wow, time has gone by very fast... you're already 12 weeks! soon, you will be sharing baby pics with us! I'm done with Clomid, just waiting on my appt with FS which is on Monday... he's going to see how things have developed with clomid, and if I ovulated, etc....then its off to the BD marathon!

Cols - hopefully this + OPK will bring you a BFP! Baby dust to you as well!

MW2B - how are you keeping? have you started the healthy eating plan yet? fx that you get to where you want to be soon!

AFM, I had queeziness every single day. Feeling a bit better today. Went for my 12 week scan this morning. Everything is A-okay. Doc is happy & I'm happy. Baby was kicking & opening its mouth. Baby is growing well & everything is developing as it should. Doc says it looks like it might be a boy but too early to say cause he says a girls clitoris can also be swollen at this stage & then it looks like boy so we will have to wait until 16 weeks.

So girls please meet my little bean..........

As Klk says, get the pigeon thermometre - it has 2 decimal places and not just one like most other thermometers and you can buy it at Reggies, Edgars, and Baby City for under R60.
And set ur alarm for the same time each day (as late as possible so that your weekends dont get disrupted too much) and take your reading under your tongue.
The first half of your cycle it will be lower - 36 - 37deg average. Once you have ovulated and your progesterone levels increase, the temperature will increase by 0.5 - 1deg higher than pre ovulation. Once you've noted a 'significant' increase for more than 3 days then you will have confirmed ovulation.
Charting helps to see what day you're actually ovulating on and how long your luteal phase is (post ovulation).
For me, even though my cycle was 26-28 days long, I actually only O'd on day 15 or 16, and had a 10-12 day luteal phase and not the 'average' of 14. So without charting, I might've missed it completely.

Long time no chat.
It breaks my heart every time I see that my old time friends are still going through this battle! You know, you guys are amazing fighters, I would've given up long time ago!
And I have family and friends who eventually went other routes to have their families, so dont discount how strong you ladies all are for sticking it out!

Wanted to say to my dear friend Andy.
I think the choice to go to Tygerberg with Prof Kruger is an EXCELLENT choice for you my friend! I honestly feel gynae's dont give you the time and attention you need after so many years of unexplained infertility!
They definitely need to do another Lap, do ovarian stimulation, and get you on some supplements to see if it makes any difference to your spotting. It could also be something else like fibroids. And you want to take care of any of that before falling pg so that you have the smoothest pregnancy possible!
I would say leave the lap to the FS though - dont waste any more time at a gynae.
If your current gynae knows your history, then phone her and speak to her asking to arrange the referral you require without having to come in for an appointment. And dont let her talk you out of it hun please.
Meantime - best advice EVER given to me = Doggy style!!! I am pretty sure it has played a huge role in our conception. And another tip which I personally feel is quite important - make sure that you O before hubby does, that way things are all relaxed down there for the swimmers to do their thing! And that means whatever means required to have gotten there, some toys or you helping hubby if that's what it takes
Sorry for my TMI but I believe you're on the right track, and if you only have energy to give it one last go then you must make sure you're giving it the absolute best shot possible!

So I made an appointment with my gynae, could only get for the 4th of July
Anyway, I'm going to see if she wouldn't consider doing another lap to see if she can maybe find a reason for the spotting, because even with the Progesterone suppositories that I tried a while back, I still had 2 or 3 days spotting before AF. PLUS my first lap was done by my previous gynae and you all know I didn't really trust him here in the end anymore.

And then I think I'm also going to ask her for a referral letter to Tygerberg Hospital's Fertility Unit. I know what you're thinking!! TYGERBERG???? But I've done some research and besides the fact that Prof Kruger form Aevitas works at Tygerberg as well, I haven't read one single bad review. So I'm willing to give it a try.

In the mean time, KLK, I'll give the Pregnacare a shot and maybe even also the doggy style
