Thanx Tracy and Andy for the feedback... Why is it that you HAVE to BD 24, 36 and 48 hours after the injection?

Dr Lingham, just asked that i do the injection today, at no specific time and then BD tonight, tomorrow and Thursday night..

The nurse leaves at 16:00 today, so i can get it done later then...

Ag sorry, didn't answer the actual question...

Tracy is right, it is done in the stomach. Here are exact instructions on how to do it.

Don't you have a 24hr pharmacy close to home where you can get the pharmacist or nurse to do it for you tonight? Or can the nurse at work maybe do it just before you go home tonight?

Andy has also got a valid point though - there's a reason for doing it tonight rather than in the day...
Can't you go to medicross & have it administered tonight by a nurse there?

Hayley, should really rather do the shot tonight because you have to time BD according to when you got the shot (except if you and DH can get it on during the day tomorrow?? ) So if you do the shot tonight, you should BD exactly 24 hours after that (tomorrow night) and then 36 hours after the shot (Thursday morning) and again 48 hours after the shot (Thursday evening).

Good luck with that injection then - rather have it done professionally....I'm just like that, rather safe than sorry...
No offence to anyone that has done it themselves, or gotten their hubbies to do it for them!
I have heard it is used in the stomach...but how true that is, I don't know....sorry, wish I could help more there....
BUT GOOD LUCK!!

Trace, he's super superb!!!!! Um, well i went to Dischem to buy the Ovidrel as they were the cheapest, i paid R335.00 and i asked the pharmacist where could i get the swaps and needles from, she looked at me like i was mad!!!! She asked, what for??? So i explained myself to her that i would be getting hubby to do the injection at home and she almost threw a fit behind the counter, 'no, your husband cant do the injection, you have to go to your gynae or a proffessional to do the injection'

So i just walked away... So thank heavens we have a medical centre here at work, so i have spoken to the sister and she is more than happy to do the injection NOW!!!!!!!!!!!! But she nor i is sure where on the body you do this injection, so for the ladies you have done this, where is the injection given????

Laliek, i will hold my thumbs super tight this month that you get your BFP.. :) Goodluck with the stopping smoking.. :) Good choice...

Claire, we got the strangest looks ever... Maybe cos i just didnt fit in, i was the only non pregnant woman there.. :P

Izelle, dont stress... Will be thinking of you and really do hope you get your BFP tomorrow.. :)

Hey all,

Hope you all are doing well. So I've also joined fertilityfriend.com, but it's quite confusing to me right now.

I must all tell you the truth.... I don't want to go back to work. I want to be a SAHM. But I don't have a choice.
The thing is, we use to live with my parents the last 4 months in Durban, my LG is absolutely addicted to my dad and she was so attached to him because she was with them the whole day when I was at work. When I came home she would hit me and I may never pick her up, she cried when I came near her. This was a very difficult time for me and it felt like I've lost her completely.

Now that we are back in Pta, she is her old self. She is attached to me, loving me, holding me, kissing me, never wants to leave my side and I LOVE IT. I don't want to loose that again.

When we arrived here in Pta we decided to put her in her old creche but ladies, my child is not coping there. She was crying like hel, you should have seen the look on her face, it was like she could not believe I'm leaving her again with someone else.

I want another little one, and I want to bring him up at home. I don't know where to go with this feelings.
