TTC 2012 Group Year of the ball, Year of the bump

Tanasha in my opinion I've done charting for about a month or two and it's very informative when you want to get to know your body. However fertility specialists are not keen on it as it will show your temps are working but if there are underlying factors causing infertility it might not pick it up, hence you'll think your body is working at full capacity 100% when actually it's not. That's my personal opinion but I don't think for you it should be problem as your FS said both you and DH are fine hey?

Hailey, we started this 3rd TTC in March/April so aroubt 6 months now. With my 1st TTC I must have just been super lucky and ovulated on the second cycle of trying but that was before I knew there were any issues. With nr 2 we TTC'd for about 18 months and then fell pregnant. Was on Fertomid for three cycles frm month 14, 15 and 16 and then still nothing till month 18. Dr determined that I only ovulate around every 3rd cycle or so but it's very irregular. so I get lots of +OPK's but that doesn't really mean anything.

Ha ha Hayley, shame maybe it was emergency c-section this morning he's normally very friendly ha ha

wow thanks Laliek, I didn't know that! I think i might just chuck away my OPK's and charting aswell as it only seems to confuse me even more

Yes, that what he said, may have + OPK'S but no actually releasing the egg.. Chris, Femostom is basically something that regulates your cycle and you can fall pregnant on that... Ithink Dr Hogewind was having a bad day... Ha-ha

Tanasha and Hayley - you girls should remember that even if you get + OPK it doesn't gaurantee ovulation. Your LH can surge enough for OPK to pick it up however it doesn't mean that there is a follicle that's growing there, that's what happens with anovulatory cycles. I have exactly the same problem and he explained to me that OPK's doesn't necessarily mean your ovulating. Your body can do EVERYTHING right, from temping to positive OPK's to hormone surges etc but it doesn't guarantee ovulation
