Good morning ladies!!

Happy New Year to all of you!! Been ages since I was here (again  ).
Hope the New Year brings all of you great joy, happiness and BFP's!!!!!

So much to catch up on, so no personals for now - just wanted to pop in and share a story....

December was the "party month", so definately no TTC was going on this month. We said from January we will buckle down, go see the gynae and get going.
Well....I have been feeling very strange the last few days, eating chocolate like wildfire (ok, I always eat loads of it, but this has been ridiculous), I have burst into tears EVERY day for over a week now, and have been a walking hormonal train on steroids.
So, I did an IC on Fri, and got the tiniest almost not there kinda line. Put it down to an evap (not having ever had one, I just assumed that was it). Then Sat, did a morning test, same small silly rubbish "line". Went to the JHB zoo for the day and forgot about it. Decided to do another test late afternoon Sat when we got back after bursting into tears AGAIN at the zoo and nearly leaving my BF there on his own (again, WILD rage for no reason). Was misserable because I had lower back pain from hell, and AF cramps. So off to test I went....and got a slightly darker line.
To cut the rest of the story short, and tested yesterday with 3 different tests (all had feint lines), then brought out the big guns and did the Digital.......
Pregnant 1-2 weeks!!!!!!!!!! AF is only due today/tomorrow by the way, so this is seriously early!
Went to get bloods so I could phone the gynaes rooms today. Got results in 45 min's...positive bloods with a reading of 26.9
I'm freekin pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm SO scared because it's SO early, but I told the lady at the rooms I WANT and NEED the progesterone NOW. My son was a threatning misscarriage for the 1st 12 weeks, and I don't want the same stress, bleeding etc etc this time around....
I am talking and typing about this like I'm speaking of someone else, because I just can't wrap my head around it......I just really really really hope this baba sticks!!
And going back on the timeline (because for the 1st time in freekin YONKS), I didn't watch my CM, I didn't track ovulation or read into every twinge....this month was TTC free in ALL ways. We only BD'd the 23rd Dec....and ov looks like it was 24 Dec (Christmas eve). WE only DTD again the 26th. So this is officially a Christmas miracle!!!!!!!!! In more ways than one!!! :woohoo:

Hi all!

I am new to this TTC game :)

On 26 Nov 2012 DH said right lets try –I am beyond excited!! We would’ve only started in 3 years or so (I am working and studying full time
So hectic ja) and that same day I started with AF. So conveniently I just did not take another pill (I was on Yasmin for 8.5 years).

I figured it would probably take a few months for my cycle to return to normal (I was regular and had a longish cycly of about 33-35 days before going on the pill). But went to see the gine on 11 Dec 2012 and she said nope im going to ovulate, she measured the egg-thingy and calculated it to be on the 15th of Dec which, it happened (or I think,am not temp-ing etc but felt the cramps etc) then she said AF
will be 29 Dec which it was :) I was quite surprised. Anyways, I am aware that it might not stay this regular......

So the problem with us is we only have Feb, March and April to try. If it does not happen we will have to wait about 14 months :) I would see it as a blessing but what will be will be.....

Basically we are ‘prepping’ now and I want as good a chance (or three!) as possible. I have no womanly problems and I am drinking PregOmega and taking extra folic acid at the moment. Eating lots of avos ;-) and stopped smoking (was a too frequent oppurtunity smoker hehehe) and limiting the alcohol.

We are basically going to keep on “practicing” but will be actively BD’ing from day 12 to 22 for incase (every second day) and hopefully that will work.

Any other advice will be appreciated?
