Hi all,

I haven't been on here for about 2 or 3 months, so don't know if anyone can remember me, but just had to share the good news!

TTC since November last year...

Got my BFP over the weekend and blood tests confirmed this morning! First scan booked for end of next week.

So thrilled, but nervous!

Baby dust to all still trying!

Hello girls!!

Dis blou Maandag aan my kant!!

TaNasha, it's amazing how as soon as you start TTC everything in your body just goes haywire, hey? Same happened to me. Just try and relax and tell your doc to hurry up with the FS appointment. Like Tracy said, I might just be spotting due to ovulation but you never know. I don't think it could be a chemical pregnancy, because then surely you would've had a very heavy AF? Sorry I can't be of more help.

Tanz, sorry to hear about your car. For me personally, it's usually not the actual accident that make me mad, it's the inconvenience of getting your car sorted, being without a car while it's being fixed and then also dealing with insurances... Such a schlep. I hope everything is sorted out soon. How is work going? Still toi-toi-ing?

O ja, BTW, you can start charting whenever, but seeing that you're in CD27 already, maybe it would be best to wait and see if AF comes or not. IF she does arrive, then you can start from CD1 or CD2, doesn't really matter.

Tacy, great explanation on the OPK's. That's almost exactly how I explained it to someone else also. It really is great seeing those 2 lines, even if it is only an OPK ;) Oh and thanks for the comments on my chart, but don't get too excited.... The cramping has started to spotting/AF is probably not far away.

Ika, I just had to giggle about your BD manoeuvres

Everyone else, Ilse, Lalie, Hayley, Hi!!

OK I have to get back to work.

Cheerio!!

TaNasha from what I understand a chemical pregnancy is when you ovulate and it is then fertilised but doesnt stick.
so I dont think this could be a chemical pregnancy as generally you dont even know you are preg yet and just have a heavier period.

I use to get discharge for about 2 days (and had to wear a pantyliner) every cycle around ovulation time. but i was on the pill and not ovulating...so it was a bit weird. but had it every single month 2 weeks into my cycle

I just went to the loo again and i had to put a pantyliner, Sorry if this is TMI, but I am just totally baffled, its a bit of brown but then also a spot of bright red blood. Its just like AF is about to start but this is way too early, could this maybe be a chemical pregnancy? But then why would I have had AF a week ago? so many questions!

I called our doctor and apparantly they have lost my results! I need to call back at 2 PM to see if they found it! What a day this is going to be!

Ika-not sure what she and dh discussed. But one thing I can promise is that I am not having my insurance premium increased because of her. So I guess she will get hers pushed up then. Hehe

Tanasha-i am on cd27 today. Sorry bout spotting! Going to buy thermometer 2day.

Btw, when do I start? Does it depend when AF starts or what?

Where is everyone? Andy, Ilse?

TaNasha : Just check if it's a once-off spotting, or if it carries in for a day or 2. Alot of woman get a once-off spotting with ovulation - I did when I was on Clomid. Not since then though.

As for the OPK's, you should start them at least 3 days before suspected ovulation, and carry on a day or 2 after, to get an idea of how your surges are working.
I start on CD10, and go through until CD13 - it's amaxing to see the line go from light, to darker, to very positive, and then lighten again after ovulation.
That's the best way to track with OPK's......
If you don't know when about you will ovulate, then you should stock up with at least 10 days worth of OPK's, and test every day until you get it right :P At CD15, you may already have had your surge - your LH surges 24 to 48 hours BEFORE ovulation.
That's just my advice - worked well for me so far....
