Earth babies, just posted this site. The car seats look really good. Wish I had seen this before I bought, because I definitely prefer the idea of being rear facing for longer...

The baby car chairs are usually 0-10kgs or 0-13kgs, but I found that Amy was too tall for hers way before she reached 10kgs.

I bought a Safeway chair that was Group 1+ (9-25kgs) and I used it rear facing at first and then after she was 1, I used it forward facing.
Most of the bigger car chairs can be used front or rear facing.

I'm also trying to figure this out.. They are supposed to be rear facing till about a year (according to EU recommendations), my car seat says 0-13kgs, but there is NO way that James will still fit in his by a year? Hes already looking big in it and hes only 7.5kgs????? I've already bought the second satge car seat which say suitable for 8 - 15kgs (Cant remember what make -its in storage in the garage at the moment) But its forward facing and the idea of putting James into it in the next month or so is scary! I got it from toys r us with my discovery voucher. Its not fancy, but its SABS approved and looks quite secure?? I'm not one to save a penny when it comes to safety, but when I was looking at car seats they all looked quite similar, but varied substantially in price, so I figured I would use my 60% discovery discount:)

Thanks Nadia.
How much was it?
Doesn't the leather get really hot in summer?

I'm confused - so from 10kg+ it's forward facing? Even if they're still babies? James is only 6m but quite tall. Isn't he too young to face forward?

Hi ladies :)

I have the Chelino Atlantis (9-25kg) I took the leather one... The first night we got it my LB threw up in it! Boy was
I glad it was not the material kind as I could just wipe it off... It is comfy for my little boy and easy to clean so a big bonus!

Also because it goes up to 25kgs it should last for a really long time :)
