NEW HUGGIES NOT SO GOLD

What saddens me is that people are complaining about the same issues and they do not seem to be concerned with the complaints. They need to stop with these generic and answers and give us the old nappies back.

Thanks for this thread, I am also a Huggies Gold fan, but I will not be wasting money on the 'new' nappies once the 'old' ones are finished. Will rather buy Pampers.

The funny thing is that she told me not to worry about green ink washes off the clothes.

All I need is for them to take their nappies back and give me my money back so that I can go get some Pampers. I do not want their vouchers.

We had a nappy rash, but on the original old huggies number 3 (day) and 4 (night). But LG was also teething which could have been the reason. I emailed Huggies, the original email to the Customer Care didnt go through, so I emailed Kimberley Clarke and a very nice lady called me back. I wasnt complaining about the nappies, I just asked if I could have some samples bec I had heard that the new ones are not great. She couriered 2 of each (number 3 and number 4) as well as 2 of the newborn (for new baba in Jan). She also sent me a sample of the swimmers in the smallest size.

So, I didnt complain as such, but she was very helpful. She did say the nappies seem to be "bigger" so if I am inbetween a number 3 and 4, I would probably be a number 3 on the new packs.

I have one pack of the old stock left, and then really dont know what to do... I see they are also giving away samples at a lot of stores (PnP, Baby City etc) this weekend and next. I think I will get some more samples and just hope for the best! I dont know whether to buy Huggies or Pampers now... the Premium Pampers just work out soooo expensive! I usually buy the banded pack of 2 Huggies plus 2 wipes.

i had the same probs some time ago and i should add that i changed to pampers after raising my 1st child on huggies gold (who is now 3 and half years old).

the problems i had was with the No 3 gold packs
the nappies leak, the tabs come off and the green rubbs off / stain clothes and legs and the nappy itself was 'thinner'

i phoned huggies lodged a complaint, they wanted the nappy 'serial no'
and refunded it with a voucher - which i did not use out of principle cos i am finished with huggies

wrt the nappy being 'thinner' the lady said that they are now going more environmentally friendly...maby that could be why your baba had a rash - cos of different chemicals being used now.

Well I guess if that's the case I will be buying a small bag of Pampers this week and see how it goes....

Someone from Huggies called me asking for the number on the nappies, but I don't have the nappies on me. I'm at work so I have to call them tomorrow.

She said that those are the new nappies and they're imported, they no longer manufacture them in SA. So I guess what she was telling me was to get used to them cause they're not gonna change them.
