:) you make me smile. it is easy for someone that is not in the situation to say what they would do, it is entirely a different story when you are in the situation. Like Warren says, the decision we made to keep Lior was any easy one, it becomes diffocult now, cause you begin thinking - just what if I let them fix his cleft, just what if they do this and they do that - JUST WHAT IF , but then we remember its all about keeping him comfortable. To go and have operations and all of that will make him the most uncomfortable

Yes we have 5 girls, I have three from a previous marriage and my fiance two from a previous marriage. We did not want any more children, so Lior was not planned, he was an oops and a lovely oops at that :)

butterflies - thanks for sharing that information.

I think these situations always make us wonder 'what would I do if that happened to me?'

I think before we are pregnant we start to define certain boundaries i.e. if a test result comes back with this, then I will do this.

But I think once you are flung into that situation, and at the cold face of it, suddenly those very logical decisions are flooded with emotions and 'this is happening to me now" - and suddenly what appears as a "simple" decision to someone looking in, is not such a simple decision when weighed up against all the things you are having to directly experience.

I am not sure what I would have done in your situation. I am not sure if what ever I had done would have weighed on my soul more heavily or given me a the "release from purgatory" - I just do not know.

Hopefully I can read more on your blog - before we even get to Lior, I thought 'damn she has 5 daughters" how on earth did that discussion go "okay honey are you keen on another child?'

But we can talk about that another day.
